Sweet! Thanks for the pics. I have Huntress in the 3-Pack, but I'll pick the single carded version up when I see it. PJ

Even though I stopped keeping my JLU MOC, I dig the new packaging. Me too. Although I do maintain all my single Bats, Supes and WW MOC. I will probably get an extra Huntress to keep MOC too. I've loved the new packaging from day one. I havnt really liked the orange cards too much. I wasnt sold on the embossed star graphic but its looking better and not a big deal, but in the original promos it seemed ill fitting to me. I think this new design will will really stand out on the shelves. I think it will have a great eye catching contrast to everything else.

Not to sound bitter but of course living in Miami, FL, I am sure I will see these sometime next March 07.
Would anyone be willing to get me a set? I will pay for whatever.

Thanks for your compliments on the packaging guys! As always, I'm trying to give you guys the best I can from my end of things. I think that the line overall looks pretty good. By the way, what do you guys think of the way I'm handling the X-sell on the back? In the future, I'm thinking of doing a lot of my x-sells for this line just like this.

Youre welcome Frank! You deserve much praise for these! Somewhere I've posted since finding these in person how great this new packaging really is! Much better up close in hand. Really snappy and sharp. The molded/embosed blister is classy and adds an attractive eye cathing element the past packaging lacked. I'm diging the star now... especially in conjuction with the more elaborate overall design.
I think the back of the cards are extra nice as well. The images are so much more interesting and exciting. But youll have to fogive my ignorance, I dont know what you mean by "X-sell"? Unless that is the general appearance of the card back. The arrangement and presentation of other available and soon to be new product? Regardless, the whole new look and design is tops IMO!

I absolutely love the backs of these cards, I think it looks great with the other figures in the background. It's got kind of a "retro" feel to it, awesome work!!!

You're welcome Frank! You deserve much praise for these! Somewhere I've posted since finding these in person how great this new packaging really is! Much better up close in hand. Really snappy and sharp. The molded/embossed blister is classy and adds an attractive eye catching element the past packaging lacked. I'm digging the star now... especially in conjunction with the more elaborate overall design. I think the back of the cards are extra nice as well. The images are so much more interesting and exciting. But you'll have to forgive my ignorance, I don't know what you mean by "X-sell"? Unless that is the general appearance of the card back. The arrangement and presentation of other available and soon to be new product? Regardless, the whole new look and design is tops IMO! Generally, a cross sell (or x-sell) showcases parts or most of an entire toy line. So that when the consumer comes along and buys a toy, they can look at the back of the package to see what else they can buy within the line. In the past, when I created a x-sell, I lay out the figures in neat rows with a toy number, name, and some kind of a glow. However, for this year, I decided that I wanted to something different. I wanted to add a more collector aspect to the packaging. So, I started to think back when I was a kid, and I remember that the old G.I.Joe packages (and when I say G.I.Joe, I'm talkin' about the 12" guys before they had Kung Fu Grip) always had photos of the toy in these really cool settings. So, I thought wouldn't it be cool to have the DC Super Heroes figures be it JLU or the S3 figures in a really cool setting. So, RJ, you're a hundred percent correct in saying that the back of the card looks retro, because that was exactly what I was going for. I could be wrong for saying this, but I think one of the biggest reason why we collect is to reconnect with our youth - to have stuff we couldn't get when we were kids. So, I thought if I could incorporate a little more nostalgia into the package, it would just elevate a consumer's or collector's experience at retail, maybe make them feel like a kid again. On a basic level, I also just think the new photo-shoots on the back of the card just looks cooler than what we were doing before.
