If not just child endangerment as he was in civilain garb and not actually on a Robin mission when killed. [shadow=blue,left,300]Ummm....Maybe I'm reading your post wrong....but Jason WAS in "Robin mode" when he was killed, as he exposed his identity to his newly found mother and changed into the costume before the Joker had entered the scene...... Anyhow, I agree that Jason has to be involved here somehow. Over the previous story arc, the innuendo that he is out there is obvious. Much like the HUSH storyline, DC will not let that sit unresolved forever. What better time to drop this bomb than in the biggest Batman arc of the year? [/shadow]

Unless they are starting to take tips from Marvel - they could leave plot threads open for years and years with no resolution....

Y'know - I posted that jokingly. After I did, I started to think about it.
How cool would it be to have Jason's fate unresolved? Just someone messing with Batman's head from time to time. Leaving the occasional clue for Bats, Alfred or Robin to pick up. He could even branch out and visit Nightwing or Oracle.
It could be a running theme in the Batbooks for a while, kind of like Where's Waldo, but with Jason instead - you get a glimpse of his trenchcoat or see one of his (I'm taking some artistic license here) redesigned Batarangs. Who knows what the team at DC could do with it?

Like every time Wolve faces off against a telapath, or a member of the government they throw out the name "James" (His birth name); as a fun way to torture him. Hmmm...sounds like a another good way to get under ol' pointy ear's skin. [/glow]

Y'know, Wolvie was what I was thinking. It was more along the lines of the Weapon X storyline. That and the Summers' third brother. Have they ever resolved either of those plots?
I actually had no idea about the "James" thing. I haven't read a Wolvie comic in probably 10+ years.

[glow=purple,2,300]Yeah, since the Origin mini-series telepath/government villans calling Logan "James" has been the trend. Though I'm not too sure the Summer's third brother thing has been resolved; I think that's right up there with the true identity of the hobgoblin story line. [/glow]

That would be cool unresolved as would KEEPING Bruce's parent's muderer anonymous. Zero Hour undid Joe Chill being the killer. Batman/Superman might be making Metallo the killer, undoing that. I don't think War Games is going to have any major revelations. I think a character like Spoiler or Orhpeus might die. I don't think the villian taking advantage of Spoiler's mistake will be Jason, Luthor, or anyone else major.
As for Jason's death, your right, he did die in the Robin suit, but not on patrol with Batman or a mission for Batman. He was off searching for his mother as Jason Todd running off without Bruce. If he died while on patrol with Batman or someplace he had sent him, it would have been a lot different. He didn't die for being Robin, but rather for trying to protect his mother while searching for her which had nothing to do with Batman and Robin.

[shadow=green,left,300]I've got another war games theory to throw out there...we know it'll impact the batman...well, what if his matches malone cover gets blown finally?! Its bound to happen at some point...and that would have an impact on his ability to retrieve information and manipulate the crime syndicates....[/shadow]

[glow=purple,2,300]Yeah, that would hurt bats. I mean, he would probably just assume a new identity, but it would take years for that identity to build up the rep. that matches has.[/glow]

[shadow=blue,left,300]Possible Spoiler
Ok this may be a longshot but what if it's the new commissioner. He's bald. It would pave the way for Gordon to return. Just in time for the movie too.[/shadow]

if you haven't read any new issue this week, then don't read this post!!
well, i guess you can say Batman was the true person responsible for war games, since it was his contigency plan. but, alas, Spoiler had to be the crappy character that she is and steal it. then try to implement it herself. hopefully she will be one of the victims of war games. i must say though, this was kind of a let down. Spoiler? i'd prefer some huge conspiracy involving a rogue. Spoiler just sucks. as does this story so far, IMO.

Does anyone know why Black Mask has a skull mask? In Act Two, part 5 of 8 of War Games, Black Mask shows up wearing a skull mask. Also, when did he start wearing it?

The last few issues have been quite weak. The whole Spoiler putting the whole war games thing into motion is just too weak for me, I was hoping for something a little more full.

[shadow=green,left,300]Thats not the end of the story. Theres more important things to it. Here's the entire point...batman is only human and he made a HUGE mistake letting stephanie in so fast...and he, having way too much access to things has shown how much damage Batman can do to Gotham if he chooses. Furthermore, the story is more about the results of this terrible mishap..the villians that will emerge with control of Gotham are none too nice! [/shadow]

I AGREE WITH THE IDEA THAT THE REAL POINT OF THE STORY IS THAT BATMAN ACTUALLY HAS GROWN TO COCKY AND IS MAKING SOME MISTAKES BECAUSE OF IT THAT WILL COST HIM. AND WHAT'S WITH ALL THE HATE FOR SPOILER? I ACTUALLY LIKE THE CHARACTER.
