Here's just a few of the theories. By the fact that they are on here, they have been OFTEN mentioned on various websites as being the person responsible for it. So...have your go at it.
I personally think by the fact each of these individuals have been mentioned as often as they have, they are eliminated.
I remember the most popular Hush theory (and I kinda wish it was true) was Azrael...
So...who do you think, and why? 2 of the individuals above are eliminated (Todd & Luthor) because Meltzer said the individuals has been introduced and, well...they have not. I think Nightwing is eliminated because of his book later and his role in the Outsiders and how iconic he is. I think GL is eliminated because he is still a hero after (GL: Rebirth is after). I think Jean Loring is eliminated because...well...if it is her that is just cheap and won't help sale anything. I think Ralph is as bad of a thory as Sue doing it all as a birthday present (that's just mean) and Atom...I dunno. Guess he is (in my opinion) the top of those listed above, but I dunno.
Supposedly Brad said that the person is "hiding in plain sight." Maybe it IS Atom (easy to hide) or Plastic Man (he could hide in plain sight...anyone see anything RED? He's upset about the secret identities with his son and that there are TWO stretchy guys)...those make as much sense as most other theories.
Anyway, let me hear ya!

Of all the theories that I've heard, the Nightwing one is the most fleshed out. I voted Other because I don't want to believe that it's him.
I'm still hearing theories about it being the original Firestorm (he's dead folks - get over it!), Chronos, Hector Hammond, and the new Mirror Master. Newer theories are the Top and obviously Capt. Boomerang.
Personally, I haven't figured it out. I really haven't tried. I'm content to sit back and read every issue because it has been a good story with some shocking twists. As a matter of fact, as long as things continue like they have been on the book with the writing and art, I'm planning on buying the TPB of this when it is (eventually) released sometime in 2005. Normally, I buy one or the other - individual issues or the TPB. In this case, I'm going to make an exception.

Not dead, just not in the series. That's why he's grouped with Jason.

Thanks Jota, I misread your post. I'm doing what reideen is doing, just going with the flow of the story. There are many DC characters out there that could be behind this. I mainly know stuff about Batman so I wouldn't even know where to begin.

Why did Boomerang attack Jack D. again? I keep feeling like I missed something.

I have not read any of this, but I voted Jason Todd, 'cuz that's who I hope it is. I don't know how plausible that is, but it would be awesome, IMO, after all, we don't know where his body is. He may well be...[glow=red,2,300]ALIVE!!![/glow]

;D Well, *if* I read ID Crisis, it'll be as a tpb, but I hope to read feedback as to whether it's, well, very good. So I hope to hear about it when it's over!

Jason WOULD be a great Bat-villian (as would Az) but I don't see him in this story...he will be taken care of in the next Loeb/Lee run would be my guess...or will be out there as an unanswered for years to drive us fan boys crazy...
sort of like the mystery of Deathwing....
sort of like whether Gambit really IS the third Summers brother...
sort of like all of the other unanswered in comic-dom.
