I'm about to sit down to read issues #13 and 14 and I was wondering who else here has been keeping up with this story? It's one of my favorites!

I'm a big fan, although I think Ed McGuinnes's style was 'better' in some ways than Turners. I enjoy Turner's more epic frames and covers, but McGuinness has a very 'classic' style, that feels more like a comic book. Turner's stuff looks like it belongs on something in a museum, and gives the books a very labored, cut, trim, and precise look. He is just too 'high art' for comics, at least Batman/Superman, in my opinion.

I can see your point about Turners style although I am enjoying the look and feel to the series so far. I like the way issue #14 ended regarding all of the heroes getting together. That was awesome!

I have ever since I first saw his work on Fighting American. His Superman and Batman are among the best I've ever seen. Maybe it's the blend of the cartoon style and manga influences I see in his work that does it for me. Turner on the other hand draws females really well. Males all pretty much look the same, with some minor changes. I just got done with #15 and while not suprised at the end, I am intrigued. I figured out who the "mystery" characters were within the first page or two - really, it was pretty easy to put together. I'll definately be staying with this book as it remains near the top of my must read list every month. Of course, that's assuming it comes out on a regular basis....

[shadow=blue,left,300]I love this book. I haven't got in the last Turner issue yet, but I'm anxious to see how this story ends. It's been cool. This is one of my top books. TEXT[/shadow]
