You can't say I didn't tell you to pick up Space Ghost! ;D JLA Classified was something I just got around to reading recently, so I, unfortunately didn't warn you about that one, but with Ed McG art, IMO, you can't go wrong!! There may still be copies of these issues on store shelves, so if you want 'em, check with your local retailer! Here's the press release:
PRESS RELEASE
DC COMICS SELLS OUT OF TWO HOT DEBUT ISSUES: JLA: CLASSIFIED #1 AND SPACE GHOST #1
Two debuts of DC Comics projects have sold out at the publisher: JLA: CLASSIFIED #1 (SEP040308), which sold out on November 19 after arriving in stores on November 3, and SPACE GHOST #1 (SEP040353), which sold out two days after arriving in stores on November 17. Please note that copies may still be available at retail.
JLA: CLASSIFIED #1, the first issue of a new ongoing series, features the opening chapter of a 3-part story written by Grant Morrison with art and covers by Ed McGuinness & Dexter Vines.
SPACE GHOST #1, written by Joe Kelly with art by Ariel Olivetti and a cover by Alex Ross, kicks off a 6-issue miniseries that reveals the untold origin of the classic animation hero for the first time ever.
"You can't go wrong with two powerhouse creators like Grant Morrison and Ed McGuinness on JLA," says Dan DiDio, DC's VP - Executive Editor, DCU. "And Joe Kelly and Ariel Olivetti have given Space Ghost the heroic treatment the character has always deserved."
"These projects have gotten off to very strong starts, and retailers have supported them both," says Bob Wayne, DC's VP - Sales & Marketing. "We encourage them to increase their orders on upcoming issues of JLA: CLASSIFIED and SPACE GHOST."
DC is consulting with retailers to determine whether either of these issues will go back to press.
