Hello, Bat-fans. J. Torres here, writer of TEEN TITANS GO. I'm new to the board so please forgive me if I'm posting this in the wrong place...
I just wanted to drop by and hype a two-part Mr. Freeze story for BATMAN: LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT. The artwork is by the talented team of David Lopez and Ferando Blanco (FALLEN ANGEL). The solicitation should be in the next PREVIEWS, so please keep an eye out for it.
Of course, you can ask your friendly neighbourhood retailer to reserve your copy of BATMAN: LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT #190-191 today ;D

First of all, welcome to LOG! I hope you enjoy it here - if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask - we'll all be happy to help!
Now, on to your post - thanks for the heads up! I'm always game for a good Freeze story, so I'll be looking forward to these books.
Please feel free to post more about Titans Go! or anything else you feel we should be looking at!

Hey, first off let me welcome you to the Legions of Gotham.
I would also like to let you know that I am a big fan of your work and I will certainly pick up your upcoming arc in LOTDK.
I've been a LOTDK fan for many years as I love Year One stories so it makes me look forward to your issues even more.
I've gotta say that I am blown away by your post and I am so glad that you found the LOG. Besides having indepth content we also have some of the nicest members around.
I hope to see you on the boards as a regular member because I know for me it was a thrill to chat with you.

My nephew ADORES the comics and will be jumping like a fanatical fanboy when he hears about this, so I gotta thank you for being apart Teen Titan Go! You've helped many children ignore their television and also managed to shut them up for a good 20 minutes in the process
This 2 part Mr. Freeze sounds interesting. Not much of a fan of him, but there hasn't been enough concentration on him either, IMO. I'll be anticipating this two part now, thanks! Good luck with future works~

We're doing something with Freeze that no one has done before (or so my editor and I believe) so I hope you like it. And no, he's not going into musical theater (they wouldn't let me do that either)...

Wow!
My nephews absolutely love the Teen Titans comic books. I'm always up for a good Mr. Freeze story- I can't wait to pick up the issues.
As for the snowman himself, did anyone else just picture him belting out 'On Broadway' ?

Mr Torres,
This past Sunday on Fanboy Radio, Geoff Johns also, characteristically, confirmed that another Teen Titans book was in the works, though he declined to name the specific project, and whether it would be a new ongoing, mini, or one-shot. During the interview, Johns alluded to there being many cool underused Titans characters, but the characters would not be underutilized for long. Are there any hints you can drop, as to the characters or anything else about this upcoming Titans project?

Hey, everyone. Just a quick update: I received my copies of the issue today! So, that means the book should ship to stores right on schedule. I think it looks great. This was my first time seeing the book in color and I was quite impressed by the job done by Giulla Brusco. As for the story, it's... "okay"  Look for it at your friendly neighborhood comic shop Apirl 13th! |
