Currently I'm picking up my books at my local stores and paying regular prices. Thanks to Gotham95, I'm considering changing to a monthly service from an online retailer. DCBS is the retailer I'm considering. Anyone have any other suggestions? I haven't found anyone online that offers better discounts.

[shadow=purple,left,300]I too go to a local comic book shop (That is, when I get motivated enough to do so ). It's not far down the road, plus I think they're pretty fair with their prices.
I was unaware that you could get online subscriptions...[/shadow]

Comic Book Heaven in White Plains, NY. they're great, they'll special order anything from Previews, and they'll hold books and figures for you if you cant get in right away. i believe Midtown Comicsin Manhattan does subscription, but i'm not certain. they do have a website: its www.midtowncomics.com. sorry, i'd link it but i dont know how. i dont know if their prices are better though. also, if you get enough people together that you know, pool your money together and buy wholesale from Diamond.

also, if you get enough people together that you know, pool your money together and buy wholesale from Diamond. Honestly, it's not a deal to do that IMO. Your discount thru the Diamond system doesn't even cover shipping if you're just ordering an individual case every now and then. You'd need to be ordering $1000's per month to get a discount that would make it worth your while.

I get my fix from www.drvolts.com/. I cant really complain. I have gotten some good deals and the owner is rather decent. Of course I only have one other store to choose from anyway (lol) and I know first hand they are scalping $$grubbers who couldnt care less about you. I started with them and swiched 1st chance I had. Then that place shut down and I was left with little alternative. This place is far from home but not too far from work so I manage. I would consider going through an online source but 1st would hate the wait, plus shipping costs and potential for missing desired also. 2nd, I believe it is VERY important for us fans to support our local comic shops before they are all gone! Find one that is fair and treats you decent and support the industry as a whole! Just like any "Mom and Pop" store nowadays! Sometimes a couple extra bucks is worth it!

That's where I go! Midtown Comics is great, too, as you suggest. For all you New Yorkers, I also recommend St. Mark's Comics in the East Village.

I am getting mine from one of the local comic shops. I get them to put aside the books I want monthly and I pick them up at the end of every month. But lately the shop hasn't been very organized and I'm not really happy with their service so I'm considering getting my books somewhere else.

I go to a local shop, but it's not too close by, so I just visit once every couple of weeks. For graphic novels, I go to the nearby Borders. Has a pretty good selection for a non-comicbook store.

Lost World of Wonders here in WI. Its a half classic comic book/ half anime store, but the anime part is slowly taking over. I get most my graphic novels from either walden books.com, the comic shop, or my local barnes and noble which seems to also have a good selection for a non-comic shop.

I get mine at Discount Comics on Bijou Street Downtown Colorado Springs. Mike and his guys are great, they always get the new issues before the competition and they can order just about anything you want!
