Jason & Jean Paul are EACH perfect villians...
And a reason to think it REALLY is Jason....he went after Joker and beat the crap out of him....that was not a show for Batman....It wasn't to mess with the BAT psychologically....It was a strike against JOKER....who may not even recognize JASON, especially since the Hood came off after Joker was beat senseless and knocked out....

I love it! He is the perfect villain, with his psychological impact on Batman.

Ehh, can we ONCE, ONCE have a character whose first name does not start with a B have a death longer than 20 real years?
Must Bucky Barnes and Uncle Ben Parker be the only "Death MEANS DEATH" examples in comics?

OK..I voted for Hated It and heres why.As much as I didnt/dont like Jason Todd as Robin I feel that in death he has served a very valid purpose. The death of Jason Todd was quite possibly Batmans greatest failure. The guilt that he felt and the way Jasons memory has tormented him all these years is part of what makes Batman so interesting. The death of Jason is part of what made the relationship between Tim Drake and Batman so interesting. To be fair,I feel that a lot of this stuff was undone when they made Spoiler into the 4th Robin and then killed her off.Her death kind of cheapened the whole memory of Jason and made the whole concept of Batman having a sidekick seem ridiculous.I mean, how many kids is Bruce gonna get killed off? And now one of thems back as a villian? No matter what their differences Bruce loved Jason as a son and Jason knew that.To bring him back in this way just really ruins whatever memories I ever had of the character of Jason Todd.In my opinion,it would have been much better and made more sense from a story point of view to bring back Jean Paul as a villian. But then all the Jean Paul fans would be as pissed as I am-all three of them ;D

Im with Longbowhunter. Heres a quote i found regarding Jasons death and about ever bringing him back , this was right after that comic came out. "It would be a really sleazy stunt to bring him back." Dean O'Neil - Batman comics editor Just thought that was funny , but im trying my best to be openminded about this happening - TonEy

I think that quote should read 'Denny O'Neil', not Dean lol.

Well I have yet to read the issue so I'm not 100% if it is truly him, but if it is him I'm pretty sure I know where it will end up.

Let me start right off by saying that I have always liked Jason Todd, and in my eyes he was the best Robin. He had the best storyline potentials but it was all squashed because he was killed off. Well now he is back and I am excited about this. There are many questions to be answered and Jason beating the crap out of The Joker with the crowbar was the best thing ever! I just hope and pray that he gives some to Tim Drake! ! !

I voted that I am glad he is back. It makes for an outstanding read and the potential for so many great storylines comes from this i.e. Tim vs. Jason, Dick vs Jason, etc.
Also I think about this in a slightly different light. Let's assume that he revival is from the benefits of the Lazuras Pit. We all know that it causes temporary insanity. Let's say he comes to his senses, becomes good again....then DIES. If you thought Batman's angst was great material after he died once, can you imagine what would happen if he dies again?!

Well, witht he way things have been going I wouldnt be surprised if they did bring them back. Just think, Stan lee would create new characters every week so there really isnt any reason why they have to keep reusing old characters. Not only that, but it cheapens Jasons death not to mention all the fans who called him to vote to have him asked. I have no doubt that the new stories will be good but to me the price is simply too high.

I voted for hate it. I hope that it is not really Jason.
I have been a long time Batman comic reader;over 15 years now. It cheapens the whole Todd/Robin saga & death storyline. I dropped the Spiderman book years ago with the whole stupid Ben Reilly clone storyline. Hopefully I won't have to drop Batman now.

I'm wondering if I can demand DC give me my $.50 back for the phone call I placed to have him killed off in the first place as a breach of contract? ;D

[shadow=blue,left,300]I've held off reading this thread till I read the issue. (last night finally). I'm interested that it's Jason, but still skeptical. If they plan it right this could be a great plot twist but could also be devastating. Spider-man clone anyone?[/shadow]

I just read the TPB and I liked it. I artwork was first rate, the Black Mask looked very scary. And I also liked how Superman looked like a shiny beacon in Batman's dark world. I do have a question, Why didn't Red Hood/Jason kill Joker? Jason beat him just like the Joker beat him. I would have thought he would want to kill the Joker. Also, what was the deal with the Joker? He looked like a homeless guy.
