Luke Ross (Samurai: Heaven and Earth) has been named as the artist on the new Jonah Hex series from DC written by Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti.
DC has plans to bring back a few more of its western characters if Jonah Hex sells well enough. Potential characters vying for revival include Scalphunter and Bat Lash.
I know that I'll be in line to pick up a good Jonah series, especially if it's being drawn by Luke Ross. His work on Samurai: Heaven and Earth has been nothing short of beautiful. Seems like all the old characters are coming back. It's a great time to be a DC fan!

I am a fan of Jonah Hex too. Glad to see he is back. I wish that something media wise would happen. A tv-series or movie. ProfessorH!

I have heard talks of a Jonah Hex script being written. Now that would be cool.
I'll deffinately buy the comic. I've had a soft spot for ol' Jonah since i first heard of him. He's such a great character. Who would of thought a deformed confederate cowboy could revive the western stories? He has such a cool name too.

Wasn't Scalphunter, Jonah Hex, Bat-Lash and Cinnamon in Batman/Superman 16? I know it was a brief appearance, but certainly they have the artistry for it.
