It's a cool cover for the people who got the first cover, but for the people that haven't read the issue it totally gives away the buildup to the end of the issue

You can't honestly expect to hang out on comic sites and not be spoiled for weeks or months about something....pick it up and read it if you care about the ending that much (not directed to you specifically, just people in general

Alright, I try not to name-drop too much, but I'm such a HUGE Wagner fan that I have to share this all with ya, lol
I was talking to Matt yesterday about this cover, and here's what he had to say about it.

This is Matt's reply to my compliments about the cover.
Thanks, man! I thought it turned out pretty cool as well...especially considering how it all came about. I was just in New York for a few days to discuss the Dark Moon Rising project and, as I was getting off the plane back here in Portland, I found a voice-mail message from Bob Schreck. He explained their idea for the alternate cover and then laid the production bombshell on me...to effectively put this all together in time, I needed to paint the cover IN ONE DAY! That's less than half as long as I normally take on a painted cover but it sure sounded like a great idea for a second printing so...I freaking DID it! Pretty proud of pulling that off...
oh, and as far as that Dark Moon Rising or Year 1.5 project Matt is doing..its due out in November! Can't wait!
