[shadow=blue,left,300]I don't know about you guys but recently I've been anxiously awaiting each months comics more and more. A few years ago stories were getting dull but now they've lit the fire and make us want more.
BATMAN-look who's back 'nuff said. The stories and art are great not to mention the awesome covers by Wagner.
GOTHAM KNIGHTS-Hush. Again solid stories and plot developments that make you want more. Who's Hush? What's happening to IVY? etc. Great!
Superman/Batman- Supergirl. Tie-ins to Crisis and Ed McG back next month.
BATMAN ROBIN ALLSTAR-just around the corner. Like we're waiting on Santa.
Teen Titans /Outsiders- Another pair of solid books which in my opinion capture the atmosphere of the originals. Great stuff.
NIGHTWING-Sopranos?!?!
DC Direct-Keeps us going with AWESOME Batman figures. Who knows whats next.[/shadow]

I'm glad you brought this up John.
I too am SO excited these days...with all the Infinite Crisis tie-ins..not just the spin offs...but all the continuity coming together in all the books...its so refreshing...it really feels like one universe again!
I run..not walk ...RUN to the comic shop every wednesday anymore.
I guy all the titles you've mentioned, along with Batman Strikes, Nightwing and Batgirl. And of course OMAC, Villains United, Day of Vengeance and probably Rann also.

My "hold" consists of: (not counting Misc. Minis and the like) ALL monthly Bat titles Nightwing Batgirl Gotham Central Titans Outsiders JLA Punisher Star Wars Daredevil WW (for the wife ) I really have no good excuse for ever cancelling Robin sorta regret that now and then I also grab the occational Robin, Supes, Capt. America (if they represent a milestone moment, "cross over" story or just something of interest to me etc lol) and of course there are always the occational curious / impulse buys. As long as I get my Bat fix though I'm happy ;D

:-/Can I ask a question? Since when does bringing down hope and dreams of those who follow in the same path(or like the same path) as a hero a great time to be a comic? Or better yet, since when is it a great time for one to bring so many doubts that a kid can't be inspired as they used to? I've been reading the same comics and I've got these same questions. I admit we are at odd times, but we must be inspired not confused, especially if we're kids.

I'm also not sure what you're driving at Zorro.
In any event, I'm not a reader of the monthly titles. Too much trouble trying to keep everything straight. But I'll buy the occasional one-shot or mini-series and I buy Batman Strikes!, JLU and Teen Titans Go! for my son.
As a devout fan of the original Englehart-Rogers arc, I couldn't wait to pick up Dark Detective (tho I'm slightly disappointed in it) and look forward to All-Star.
It is indeed a nice year to return to the cave.

If the role models in today's DC Comics feel like everything's doom and gloom, why can't they bring any inspiration and hope like they used to. What Batman did to Spoiler for example and Huntress. They need people to believe in themselves, not big business to conquer and trample over those who could make just as much an impact.

A part of this great time is the fact that Batman can make mistakes. He's human..he does things wrong. He has real regret. Its a great blend of fantasy and real world drama.

I have to agree with everyone here(except Zorro)! It's great to see fans/collectors come into the shop every week with the "I can't wait to read ....." attitude rather than the "I HAVE to buy my comics this week." outlook.
