Forgive me if there's a similar thread deep in the recesses of this board but I have a couple of questions about Superman: Birthright, which I'm considering picking up in TPB when it comes out:
1. Is it any good?
2. Does this mean that Byrne's Man of Steel has been completely removed from continuity?
3. Somewhat off-point: Does anyone know if All-Star Superman will be another retelling of the origin or something else?
Any info would be immensely helpful before I expend my hard-earned shekels. Thanks.

Birthright....
1 - from all accounts I've read, it's not a very good story.
2 - Superman's origin is becoming more and more convoluted with each attempt to 'fix' it. I'm hoping that Birthright was a dream sequence ala Dallas, and it's erased from continuity soon.
3 - Based on what we saw in All Star B&R, I'm expecting Superman to follow a similar pattern.

I tried to think of it in the Elseworld's sense. I found it a very nice attempt to allow new readers to delve into Superman mythos, they left very few stones unturned. It felt right as almost a continuation of the Smallville universe.

After that i just gave up trying to figure out what krypton was like. Were they warriors, were they cold desolate scientists, what were they like? That's when i got tired of picking up superman and started on Batman. The art was good tho, not clean, but good.
