Take this for what you will......
I'm sitting here in Gotham nation. Got a ticket to my destination. On a tour of padded rooms, my straight jacket and batarang in hand. And ev'ry session is neatly planned for a loner and a vigilante-man. Arkham bound, I wish I was, Arkham bound, Arkham, where my thought's escaping, Arkham where the freaks are playing, Arkham where my Ivy's waiting Silently for me.
Ev'ry day's an endless stream Of medication and group beatings. And each freak looks the same to me, the villains and the orderlies And when Hugo Strange's face I see it reminds me that I long to be, Arkham bound, I wish I was, Arkham bound, Arkham where my thought's escaping, Home where the freaks are playing, Home where Ivy's waiting Silently for me.
Tonight I'll scream my screams again, I'll play the game and pretend. But all my insanity comes back to me in shades of blue and grey Like emptiness inside of me I need someone to medicate me. Arkham bound, I wish I was, Arkham bound, Arkham where my thought's escaping, Arkham where the freaks are playing, Arkham where Ivy's waiting Silently for me. Silently for me.

Unfortunately, an old guy read your lyrical post. I actually sang the song using your words, and there are a few too many syllables here and there... but I won't give away the source of your inspiration. Not yet, anyway... By the way, I'm curious...who is the speaker in the song? It doesn't quite fit any profile that comes to mind. Other than maybe Harley (yes, I've read WAY too much into the "Harley and Ivy" episode), who could possibly have Ivy waiting for them in Arkham...unless, of course, it's you...

I tried to fit things as best I could - it was honestly just a quick 5 minute thing that I threw together, based on "Homeward Bound" by Paul Simon. It actually has to do with something upcoming. I'm not going to say who, when or what exactly yet - the clues are there....

So does this mean Ivy has/will 'got better'? (I haven't been reading the comics, I just know what happened to her a while ago)
nice lyrics, even if I don't know the song they're still pretty fun.

That's a good question Dr. B. Actually, Ivy's just the name that popped into my head - insert Selina, Harley, Jean Gray, whatever. It's the rest of the song that has the clues.
Gotham95 posted the answer yesterday in a seperate thread. It was a bit of news that came from LITG. I inadvertantly deleted it. Again, G95 - sorry - I didn't mean to have an itchy mouse finger. Here's the info - SPOILER!! DO NOT HIGHLIGHT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW YET!!
For those of you who want to know what next year's big Batman arc, coming off of the One Year Gap, highlight the following white text.
Bruce Wayne has been committed to Arkham Asylum and Nightwing has assumed the mantle of The Batman. Nightwing, however, will continue as an ongoing comic.
