What do you guys think (just speculating of course)of what Nightwing's big role is Infinate Crisis Will Nightwing himself get a big push? Will he take up the mantle of the Bat or just be " The Chosen One" who will take up the mantle of the bat later? Will Nightwing end up like Blue Beetle who also had a major part? I want to hear your suggestions about Nightwing's big part in this! ProfessorH!

i really hope he doesn't become Batman, he's better as Nightwing and then what happens to Bruce? no good. and the better succesor is Batgirl hands down. Tim isn't ready, and in my opinion Cassandra can take over the mantle, with alittle help from time to time. but thats jumping way ahead, because you can't get rid of Bruce, he's Batman.
my guess is that it has to do with Donna Troy. something like him kissing her again will revive her memories and return her to normal. and if not that then something dealing with the Superboy situation.

Thanks. I never thought of that theory about Donna though.

i think Nightwings role is bigger in the actual post War Games saga going on now then anything else...being so close to Black Mask...even though i know its all gonna eventually tie together for the Crisis

Wow. If this is true, then reideen's "Arkham Bound" song parody is beginning to make sense...

I can't believe that DC would even think about alienating their BatFan base by doing this. If this were to happen, I very well could stop collecting all together. IMO there are 2 DC characters that are untouchable and those are Batman and Superman. On the heals of a VERY popular movie that put the spotlight directly on Batman they are going to commit Bruce to Arkham??? The more I think about it I can say with 100% certainty that I would stop collecting....unreal.

and even if they did that, why would Nightwing assume the mantle. Bruce couldn't escape Arkham? he would be back out within minutes. it cant be true, because if Bruce can't escape Arkham and every one else can then DC has really lost touch with Batman.

If that happens it Has to be temporary. I cant imagine DC/WB would just throw away their biggest money maker (Thats what its all about), and have it be permanent. Supes can die, but they Had to bring him back. Batman can be broken and replaced, but he Must return. The story would definatly sell books, and thats what they would be counting on, but for it to stay that way would kill them in the long run.

If that is true about Bruce I don't like it. Bruce deserves better. And anyway it would be something like Bruce Wayne: Murderer. The Grayson rumor I don't mind. If the rumor is true what about Nightwing?

This sounds fishy. Although they could replace Bruce, but he MUST return, it could be someone else. Anybody think about that?

THEY CAN'T KILL OFF BRUCE! BRUCE WAYNE IS THE BATMAN TILL THE END! NO ONE SHOULD REPLACE HIM! They aren't killing him off. He's going to be staying somewhere. Bruce isn't the one that's being looked at as dying in the cross over. It's someone else....

I completely believe the rumours and to be honest I'd love to see it happen. You can bet your backside though that it would temporary, which is fine by me. I would love to see how dick coped in his position just for a while.

well the rumors say that Nightwing will still be an ongoing title at the time. also here are the questions that have yet to be answered:
if Bruce gets locked in Arkham, is it because he gets caught and the world finds out he's Batman or some other reason, like he's framed again or something like that?
and if its because he gets caught and everyone knows who he is, what will he do when he gets out?

Does Green Arrow have a successor?
I think the Bruce/Arkham plot sounds good depending on how it's handled. If Bruce orchestrates the whole thing for a particular aim, that could be very good.

I think this could be interesting. We all know it's not permanent, and can be a good story. Also, the more we get Nightwing in stuff, the better!
