I loved the original story. Loved it. Had a huge impact on me and was enormously influential in the Batmythos.
This series has pretty much been trouble from the get-go: Awkward characterization and plotting, mostly weak dialogue, distractingly poor lettering and disappointingly scratchy artwork. The whole project has been remarkably amateurish.
The only reason I made it to the fourth chapter was because of a sense of nostalgia and loyalty. But I can't abide having that loyalty go unrewarded so I'm giving up.
If you want the real deal, pick up the "Strange Apparitions" TPB and pretend they never made this.

i have to agree, when i satrted reading this series i thought its ok but the more you read the more it just seems to loose your intrest. The art is gd sometimes and the next second looks horrible. The story is a mess and makes no sense, the chracters feel nothing like should do and there is alot of silly things such as two faces clones.

I dropped it after the 2nd issue. Instead, I picked up 'Girls' from Image and have been very pleased. I'd highly recommend it - it is for mature readers though.
There are TONS of books out there gang. If this one isn't making you happy, DROP IT! Find something else that works for you. Try a different genre. There's a number of Western books out right now, sci-fi, horror, etc. Give one of 'em a read. If you need specific examples, check the 'What's Shipping' thread - I usually try to point out some different books that might be worth your time.
