**spoilers ahead**
Synopsis:
The issue begins with batman yelling at jordan as to what he is doing. Jordan burns the batrope off his arm and says not now. Bats says now and jordan tells him the green lanterns have a job to do and bats puts his hand on hal when hal punches him to the ground. Supes ask if bats is ok and bats says "same old jordan, still arrogant". Jade and alan scott stops the jla/jsa in green fire and tells them that hal can take care of it. Jordan, gardner, stewart, rayner, and kilowag go off to fight parallax/ganthet. stewart asks hal the plan and hal says he'll think of it when he gets there, he asks if stewart trust him. Stewart says yes. As they attack parallax jordan describes each lanterns' style. Stewart never makes a hollow shape and makes things like an architect would. Gardner is like a leaky faucet and has will power seeping out of him all the time. Rayner is an artist who perfects his shapes as an artist would. and kilowag is the only gl that ring makes a sound, a cannon type sound. Jordan says he focuses more on precision. They beat parallax and send him to the central power battery. The scene goes to bats saying he doesn't buy into the whole posession theory and doesn't trust hal. Hal says he doesn't care and flies off. The scene goes to Bell Reve prison where a deformed, bloated character similar to sinestro is talking to himself. Jordan is talking to carrol and she says she and her husband will keep the airport and needs a new pilot, jordan declines and they hug. Ollie starts to dig something out of his wall while talking to jordan and says his aim is slightly off, jordan says it always has been and ollie says he forgot jordan had a sense of humor. Ollie comments that he can never remember the oath as he hands hal the lantern and hal says he'll never forget it as he transforms into gl.
Review:
I have always been torn between 2 heroes. Bats and GL Jordan. I can't choose between them and funny enough they are polar opposites. The only similarity is their arrogance. This issue was great and i was so excited to see hal in action. The scenes that describe each lanterns style was so friggin' awesome and had me in a state of ecstacy. Jordan has always been a favorite of mine and i can't wait for the new series. Bats was awesome in this issue and was creepy when in shadow. The art was great for bats when all you saw was his ears, shoulders and eyes in one scene. a great conclusion to a great story.
i give it 5/5, 10/10, or whatever way you want to say friggin' cool.
