Well, I respect your enthusiasym and naturally your opinion, but personally I give this book one more issue. If it doesnt completely turn around, its gone. Even if it "turns around" after that, itll be too late and not worth the investiment.

I'm already taking the long view. I'm waiting for the inevitable TPB. By then, a real consensus will have emerged about whether this is a quality book or not.

I think the book is very well written and very cool, myself, and I'm glad we're getting another chapter in the Millerverse of Batman. I just kinda wish Miller would've toned down the city's corruptness and dangerousness just a bit, because this story's Gotham should NOT rival the Gotham City in DKR, as that should be the most corrupt, dangerous Gotham imaginable, but for the most part, it still is, IMO. I can't wait for issue #3, and I really want to see Joker soon. I wonder when they're going to post the cover on the internet, tho, I really want to see it.

What were they saying about this being an all ages book?

I'm getting the Miller covers from now on, and that one looks nice. I would like to see the Lee cover, also.

What were they saying about this being an all ages book? They had Vicki Vale in her underwear the 1st issue. You call that All Ages? Plus it's Miller man. What did you expect? The dude wrote Sin City.

Well, no, I wouldn't expect Miller to write all-ages fare (and wouldn't want him to). I just think it's funny that DC tried to sell it that way.

I can't really say I'm surprised.
I hate to say it but I think DC blew it with this title. They had an opportunity to draw in atypical readers or bring back people who left the hobby. This is a terrible way to build readership.
(I won't even get into how disappointing the comic itself has been.)

I only hope after this huge delay, further issues come out monthly. Issue 4 is supposedly due out in January. Maybe that's what they're planning.

I can only think these possibilities to why they keep changing the release date:
1. With issue 4 due in January, they may have it as a monthly title.
2. Make us want it more so sales will go high.
3. Miller's making changes because of some of the negative reviews on issue 2 some of you gave. I loved issue two.

For those disappointed by this title, I recommend Batman and the Monster Men. To me, it feels more like what All-Star was intended to be.

I can't wait for issue #3, ... It looks like you are going to have to wait until 12/21 for that cover. Looks like we will have to wait one more week now, until the 28th. www.dccomics.com/comics/?cm=4358

Don't worry. When (if) it does come out in Feb, there will be plenty of copies to go around - you won't have to worry about missing the issue. People are going to be jumping off this sinking ship left and right.

OK, after all the back and forth over whether or not this series is any good, I took a shot at Ish 3.
I'm still not impressed.
Some thoughts:
-- Half the comic was Black Canary kicking everyone's rears in a bar, especially two guys who looked suspiciously like Ollie Queen and John Stewart. Then she robs them. Sigh.
-- Superman gets miffed that Batman has kidnapped a kid. Once again, we have a Frank Miller Batman vs. Superman smackdown brewing. Enough.
-- Bottom line: There's nothing to this series. There's no strong plot and the art, while pretty, doesn't mesh well with Miller's style, such as it is in this case.
-- After 3 issues, where is this going? Sorry, but it's all been pretty empty so far.

I had to think long and hard before I bought this. It was good, but nothing happened in the story. We get a back story to Black Canary, two pages of Batman and Robin in the Batmobile (still!) and two pages of Superman mad at Batman. I really hope the next issue goes somewhere instead of just setting up the story, which has happened for the last 3 issues.
