These books helped influence Batman Begins into the hit it is today. Which one of these is your favorite? THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS? HUSH? THE LONG HALLOWEEN? or YEAR ONE?

All are exceptional, but my favorite, and I think the most influential on the comic book genre and Batman, is The Dark Knight Returns. Anyone who knows me(or who sees my username and sig) will know that I'm also crazy about the Hush storyline too. Year One was almost as influental and inspirational as DKR - and the basis for the modern bat-continuity, and Long Halloween is a great story, not to mention a fun read.

Hush was my favorite because it showed Batman at his best. In his raw emotion, his detective skills, his determination, his love to Catwoman. All that made it a classic.

I like Hush and Long Halloween but Hush is the winner in my books.

The Long Halloween is pure pulp detective drama, and that to me is true batman. Returns is very close.
