In a way, there were six stories that directly were Countdowns to Crisis. I wanted to get everyone's opinions on them...in a simple 1-6 ratings.
Countdown to Infinite Crisis (one shot)
Day of Vengeance
Rann-Thanagar War
OMAC Project (including Sacrifice)
Villians United
JLA Story
I know there are 1,000,000 other things that COULD tie in...but these are the biggies. Let me see how you rank them!

Hmmm, well I didnt read the Thanagar War and Im not sure what you meen by "JLA story"? but:
Omac Project was IMO and for my tastes the best of all the related minis (havnt read "sacrifice") = 5-5.5?
The Countdown one shot was quite good and worth having/reading= 5
Villains United was entertaining but inconsistant and not entirely Nec?= 3-4?
Day of Vengeance surprised me by being better than expected. Pretty good= 4-5?

- OMAC project was fantastic and shocking and easily gets a 5.
- Rann/Thanagar was one of the best series' i've read in a while, loads of appearances, best of all Shayera Thal. this gets a 6.
- Villains United was great, i love villain titles. 5.
- Day of Vengeance had a good story, some interesting moments, but if Spectre and Eclipso are trying to get rid of all magic in the DCU, where was John Constantine. that mishap leads to a rating of 2.
- Countdown was amazing. 6.
- if the JLA story you're referring to is "crisis of conscience" then this gets a 4.
you are missing one of the key stories that leads into Infinite Crisis though. the Return of Donna Troy. as she is playing an integral part in crisis by assembling a task force to go into space, she's the new Harbinger and might be the solution to the infinite crisis. that series wasn't that great but it answered a few questions and leads into Infinite Crisis. i'd rate it a 1.
