All-Star frustration

I'm not trying to be a killjoy or anything but is anybody else frustrated by DC's All-Star line?

1. Batman: The title was a terrible disappointment and the problem is compounded by an unpredictable release schedule.

2. Superman: I liked the first issue but then learned that No. 2 won't be out until mid to late January.


Not exactly a great way to engender loyalty from those new or returning fans. And with Begins this year and Returns next, it seems like cross-promo opportunities missed or at least diminished.

Thoughts?

I still don't understand why you guys are mad with the All Star Batman title. I like it. It's Frank Miller! What the hell did you expect? The old 60's show come to comics? ASB&R is one of my favorite titles and I don't care what you guys say. The only thing that's making me mad is the release date for issue 3 changing.

I dunno, good storytelling?


But I digress: My general point with this thread is that DC trumpeted All Star to great ballyhoo then didn't follow through on the details.

I also think it's telling that they've not announced a third title yet.
