If Gotham Knights is ending with issue 74, why did they basically waste issue 72 the way they did? The Hush/Clayfaces arc was getting good, so why did Lieberman go off on such an unconnected story?
Also, for continuity's sake I always kind of pretended Gotham Knights and the main Batman title are taking place more or less simultaneously. Like Batman has to deal with Red Hood half the week, then realizes Hush is up to something so he focuses on that for a while, etc. Is this how everybody else reads it? Because that system kind of broke down when Alfred got sick and all in GK.

I always saw the Bat-books as separate entities focusing on different aspects of Batman. Detective Comics focuses on the crime-solving aspect , Batman is the superhero-action aspect, LOTDK is/was the calssic stories showing the readers how Batman came to be what he is now, and GK was originally supposed to be like an overview of the whole Batman world. Except for LOTDK, all the other titles are in-continuity but not necessarily related. That's how I see it anyway.
