OK, folks, here's a sequel to my Will You Read 52? thread.
March is almost here and OYL will kick off:
Will this change your reading habits? Will you add titles? Drop titles?
Personally, I've not been a regular reader of the monthly titles in 10-15 years or so. But having dipped back into the hobby over the last couple years, I think I may take the plunge since we're basically getting a reboot.
Here's what I'm thinking:
Batman, Detective, Superman, Action. The key titles for the two mainstays of the DCU. Plus the occasional mini like Monster Men, Mad Monk, etc.
Post your lists and ideas here.

Might be interesting if we could get a spread of all sorts of people reading different lists so we can get an overall view without having to shell out all the money individually.

I'll be getting the BATMAN/DETECTIVE Crossover story for the next few months. And I say this who haven't been following the comics lately: Start now with One Year Later.

Batman and Catwoman are the only books I follow every month. I usually only get Detective when there are crossover stories. and I've been getting Gotham Knights since issue 68, but it's supposed to end with #74. I really don't dig Superman and all the other Justice League team so much; if I ever read those books it's just to see what Batman does in them. there's no way i could afford to follow 52.

I'll still be collecting: Batman Nightwing Superman/Batman Teen Titans Outsiders
I will add to the list: Robin Detective (with news of Paul Dini writing) Justice League Flash Blue Beetle Wonder Woman??

The bulk of my regular books will remain the same, at least as far as the surviving titles are concerned. Though as a result of "One Year Later" I'll most likely check out some things like Robin and WW and Supes... as well as snoop any *new / replacement Bat-related books. However; unless any of the above blows me away, I plan on using this situation to drop some stuff and not just grab onto more and more monthly things. It sucks that many pretty good regular books are getting the axe, but at the same time, Im kinda "happy". My free time and wallet have both been steadily shrinking, as has the number of titles I actually get "excited" for every month? When some things good or bad start feeling more like a "chore" than fun, its time to reevaluate.

I said in the other thread that I won't be able to follow 52, but I might be tempted to start reading Detective and Batman once Dini and Morrisson start writing...I'll have to wait until this starts and see if it will work for me.

On second thought, I'm sure I will at least get Morrisson's run on Batman. That will be too great to miss. I'll consider Dini's Detective. I might consider the Superman titles, based on who's writing them.

Due to financial problems, I had to cut back to Catwoman, since I am a "Catfan." However, I plan to add Birds of Prey, and possibly one or two Batman titles to the list, given the changes going on. I plan to add Wonder Woman since it will apparently be relaunched sometime soon.
