Do any of you have subsciptions to DC? I never had one until someone subscribed me to Catwoman for my last birthday. I thought it'd be cool, but let me tell you IT SUCKS. I have recently started to get into going to the comic shop every month, so the fact that DC doesn't deliver subscriptions until about 2 weeks after the book is available in stores came as an unpleasant surprise. Not to mention that issues 50 and 51 sold out while I was waiting to see if my subscription would start - which it didn't for like 4 months. I bought #52 a couple weeks after it came out. Then, literally the day before 53 came out I got my first delivery: a copy of #52. And now they tell me they have #55 scheduled to be shipped in early July, even though it came out in stores 3 weeks ago as scheduled. My point is, if you don't have a DC subscription now is NOT the time to start.

That's a big problem with most subscriptions, which is why I stick to taking a walk to my comic store.

Well my comic shop is an antique store so they only have old ones. So I can't go to get the most recent! So I'm thinking of subscribing because I am missing out on a lot! Does anybody know how to subscribe if you don't have one of those postcard things?

About how long do you have to wait for your first issue? Do they come bagged in the mail?

Thanks for sharing your experience.
You know, ever since I was a kid I had wanted subscriptions to my fav comics..be it Marvel or DC. I've never done it though.....its just more fun to go to the local shop. Its part of the experience.
