Has anyone around here read the new Action Comics by Donner/Johns/Kubert? Is it any good?

I read the first issue and loved it. It was just glorious, IMO. If you want Superman done right, and especially if you are a fan of the 1978 movie, pick this up. Plus, I thought the art was neat as well.

Plus, I thought the art was neat as well. I got my Action yesterday! Man, what a great first issue! I can't wait for the next part of the story!  BTW, "Superman The Movie" is to me the best superhero movie ever made, so, I knew there were a lot of chances that I would like this issue. |

Were you able to get it? Because it didn't ship to my comic shop, and when I looked at the website I go to that has a Previews listing last night, it didn't have it listed as shipping today...needless to say, I was and am very disappointed not to have it.  The DC website says it's out, but their site isn't always terribly reliable, especially with delays. |

On dccomics.com I believe there's a sneak peak with the first several pages, in case you wanted to get a preview. I don't like to be spoiled in any way, so I haven't read it, but FYI just the same.  |

I got around to reading this. Interesting issue, kind of a mish-mash of stuff. I enjoyed the semi-silver agey Mon-El story, and was very interested to discover the new story behind Jor-El's history with the Phantom Zone villains. Hopefully this run continues along, and finishes the first arc. |

I'm going to keep reading Last Son, of which one more issue is still to come around here. But I'm passing on the fill-in issues, that aren't by Johns and Donner. There are a few of those before part 4 of Last Son comes out in June here (or so they say. It may be pushed back further). Anyway, I'm interested to see what happens then.

I read issues #846 and #847. 846 was so great!!! Can't wait to see how it continues! And 847 was a nice story... A Fill in? Maybe, but the art is very very good and the story was very nice.

I will buy action omics as soon as all these mini series ends (2 left) andthen I'll be getting JSA and Action Comics to fill in those 2 empty slots
