How Big Are Your Comic Collections?

hey i was just wondering how big everyone's comic collections are
mine is too big to have an exact number...
i only collect batman & related titles
i have a couple boxes with my batman & related doubles and other misc comics i have aquired for free (people on eBay tend you send me a LOT of comics i dont want...)
i have got a full run of detective from 281-824 with a few scattered issues before
i have batman from 136-657 and a few issues before (including number five)
worlds finest 102-323 and a few issues before
brave an the bold from 55-end
i have every single comic from LoDK to batgirl to robin to nightwing to shadow of the bat to batman & outsiders, batman family
i have almost EVERY batman & related title from the silver age to now
silver age started in '55 i believe and i have them all from like '63 and up, and almost all (cept 10 or so) from '60 and up
i have every single batman graphic novel that isnt a collection of other batman stories (like detective 748-758)
i have all of his mini series and one shots
i have almost all of his appearences in other people's titles (like superman or what not)
i havent read most of these comics (i have them on bookshelves, a total of 15 shelves are full, and i have another box full issues that wont go to the shelf)
not trying to brag, well maybe a little
i'd say out of these thousands of comics (i estimate roughly 3 thousand diff batman comics in my collection) there are maybe 10 or 15 with detathced, but present covers
so basically my whole collection has covers and still attached!

Hoo Boy! Put me in the too big to count catagory at this point.
However; I do remember many years ago (like around 15 or so?) I counted and guesstimated at "seven thousand" individual standard issues. That number has surely multiplied several times over by now. Although, I have been constantly reducing the number of regular books I by for some time now and I've been considering selling off large portions of my collection for various reasons (such as mainly space Etc.) Im thinking of getting rid of a lot of my Marvel if anybodys interested lol.

I've scaled back my collection as well. I have recently sold the full runs of Shadow of the Bat, The Batman Chronicles and the 90s Catwoman series, but I'm holding on to LOTDK, Detective and Batman for the foreseeable future. Many one-shots and graphic novels, lots of Batgirl, Robin and Nightwing, even some from that awful Harley Quinn series of a few years back. Right now I'm only buying Batman, Detective, LOTDK, All-Star Batman and Robin, Justice, and some of the recent limited series, like the Matt Wagner Batman books (fantastic!) - Probably about 2,000 total, pretty small-time compared to most of us here. But - I will say this - I've read every single one of 'em! ;D

I have about 6 long boxes full of comics (5 of those being nothing but Batman & other related titles). The 6th box is full of mainly Xmen and other Marvel especially during the Onslaught run of Xmen in the mid 90's.

I've got probably four long boxes worth at minimum, plus whatever is stacked by my bed at any given moment.

In the past, I'd get pretty much anything Batman, but now I just buy Strikes and whatever else catches my fancy.....which sadly, isn't much these days.

I just counted... 31 full short boxes and 6 full long. And a shelved closet full of hardcovers, trades and deluxe formats.
Dang I seriously gotta do some downsizing!

136 last time I counted. Mostly Bat-related although I have branched out a bit, I've got a few Marvels here & some indies there. My rarest issue is Journey Into Unknown Worlds #56, from 1956 or was is 1954? LOL

Over 7,000 comic books. More than a quarter of it BATMAN titles.

I need a second box. I don't know how many comics I have, but I know I need a second box. My biggest comic, of course, is Catwoman.

I have 16 long boxes, Mostly Spidey and Bats. There are also small runs of X-files, X-men, Green Lantern, Silver Surfer, various crossovers, Amalgam Universe, Tick, Too Much Coffee Man......the list goes on I've been collecting since the late 70s - early 80s, and reading everyone of them.

Way, way too many to count, that's all I know. I did some downsizing a while ago, but I've still got a massive amount of books, mostly DC and Vertigo, but a good selection of Marvel and Indie stuff too.

I've owned nearly every Marvel, DC and Charlton key from the bronze and silver age at one point over the last 25 years. All were bought for quarters on the dollar (respective to their value at the time because the market was slow in the 80s and one particular shop gave discounts of up to 50% of book value when purchases of $100 or more were made - at the time, back issue sales were particularly slow while new comic titles were taking off like a rocket.)

I've sold (or traded) all of them and now hold only some Batman and Justice League related titles. It paid for a fair amount of toys for my collection (and a few ski trips, too!) ;D

Ha, I have only one small box full from just this past year. I am going to need another box soon though. I started with just Batman and Detective comics but have started to get Nightwing and Robin, Batman Confidential, a few issues from Legends of the Dark Knight, and have bought many TPBs such as Knightfall and War Games. At the moment, I can still count mine but I don't have them in arms reach
