Next year (as many may know) Final Crisis is coming out and it's supposed to change the DC Universe forever. But is it what its title says? Is it the final crisis?
Why I wonder is every decade there is a new Crisis that comes along that reforms and changes the DC Universe forever. In the 80s, we had the first crisis, Crisis on Infinite Earths. In the 90s, we had Zero Hour. In the 00s, we have Infinite Crisis/Final Crisis.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Crisis stories, but I was just wondering, do you think Final Crisis will be THE Final Crisis?

I'd say it won't be the final crisis; it sounds like Final Crisis will put an end to the whole multiverse problem that seems to be growing in COUNTDOWN, which will then spawn a new DC universe. I'm winging it here; I haven't been following comics for all that long and am just guessing . However, like I said, I doubt its the final one of all time.

"It's the Final Crisis! The Event that must not be missed!"
Two years later...
"The Sequel to Final Crisis is here! We know we said it was the final one last time, but we're giving you another one!"
There's your answer right there.
They say this is going to change the DC universe forever, and I'm not sure if will be for the worse or the better. There are two things that I hope don't happen though:
1. Bruce Wayne dies. 2. DC reboots everything, including titles and continuity. New #1 issues and new restarts.
I don't know which sounds worse.

Those are both terrible scenarios! It sounds like All Star Batman's worried since you list "worse" before "better." I'd also be disappointed if either Tim or Dick died as well, even though there's that rumor that Dick might bite the dust in COUNTDOWN, but enough of this dark talk from me for now.

why would they ever kill bruce wayne? and can anyone coherently break down this whole crisis multi-universe shite for someone who doesn't understand it at all?

From what the Monitors have been discussing in Countdown, 52 different universes have been established from Infinite Crisis and 52. A barrier is supposed to keep the universes separated but it is being destroyed. The Monitors think they must eliminate all the heroes on New Earth who don't belong there (Jason Todd and Donna Troi to name just a couple; others have all ready been killed). That may just be an overview because I'm not 100 percent sure myself. Anyone have more to add?

I read all of 52 this past summer and thought it was great! But yes, after Crisis on Infinite Earths there's Infinite Crisis; I thought the title for the second one could have been more thought out but the characters behind that crisis are tied to the first one so I guess that's one reason why they went with what they did.

Well All Star you said that DC said that Infinite Crisis would be the final Crisis. Now they're having a new one "Final Crisis" and they say it is the last. Well what if they decide to make another one just like when they said the last one would be the last?

Well what if they decide to make another one just like when they said the last one would be the last? That's why I wouldn't say this is the absolute final crisis of all time for DC; I did read somewhere they said Final Crisis will bring a close to tales that have been forming over the past 5 years. I am looking forward to it, especially with what the Monitors are up to and how that will contribute to the upcoming crisis.

ok i have another question regarding infinite crisis, i've come to have a look at purchasing it in paperback form and have know idea which novels to buy so far i've found The OMAC Project, Rann-Thanagar War, Day of Vengeance and Villains United. Is there any other parts that i need to find.
Also what order are they intended to be read in, thanks.
