Grant Morrison is a rocking writer and that is super exciting news to hear he will be there through 2008, or I should say BEYOND....

Hmmmmmm....... you don't think there is something with Batman Beyond in the works do ya? read Countdown and Arena and you'll see Terry. i would assume we'll see at least a one-shot, possibly a mini for Earth-12. |

Even if they did kill of bruce, he most likely would not stay dead. knowing that being dead is more of a temperary retirement in the DC universe (i.e. red hood, Stranges ghost, green arow, Ras Al Gaul, I could go on and on) he would propably come back due to some lazaras pit insident or something.

with Batman they do better things then kill him off. they broke his bat, framed him for murder and had him become a fugitive, kill off characters he knows (villains especially). it's just not something that happens. they've killed off some of the Batmen from other earths. and Earth-43 Batman may die during arena, but the Batman we all know and love from New Earth is not dying anytime soon.

He's not dying. It's just a rumor, just like the one I heard about Confidential being cancelled. Don't believe this until official word from DC, or Newsarama, whichever you follow. Hopefully they don't get too stupid over at DC... Yeah, or they'll be like Marvel and start their own Civil War and have their most popular character unmask himself, turn a good character into a jerk, and kill off a legend. Yeah, I went there. Marvel sucks now, especially with what they're doing to Spidey.  See, that's the kind of thing that will make people think DC is copying Marvel with the death of Captain America, which would be what they would be doing, and having something like the Fallen Son issues would only further that. Marvel are bad at the moment anf I'm laughing at how bad it is see  but to copy their mistake would be worse to know your gonna do something that didn't work with another company and could be worse when they do it cuz batman is the main hero in comics as far as I'm concerned |

I would be stupid of DC to kill Bruce the same year that The Dark Knight movie is coming out. I would want him in the comics alive and kicking butt to correspond with the new movie being released. If they do end up killing Bruce Wayne, I'll be so pissed.

there are no plans at this time to kill off Batman. he is not dying or not going to be Batman. Batmen from different earths may die, but the New Earth Batman is not dying. this was a rumor that was started by the guy who started this thread and it is incorrect.

Well, we did see a few Batmans from other Earth kick the bucket. Even if the rumor has been clarified, we still don't want to see our favorite Batman still come to an end  |
