Batman looks unproportioned. Nothing special here, just another blue/grey Batman. How many have DCD put out now? Mattel feel the need to do one of their own? Penguin looks like crap. The other figs in the line look okay.
They have the entire DC license and they give us whats already been released.

Thats certainly a Batman I'll be getting! (asssuming distribution allows). Other than the Penguin, the rest look essentially great... especially Demon, but Penguin just looks odd to me.

With over 3,000 characters to choose from, we get Batman (yes, Mattel needs a big gun anchor), Penguin (so far,so good), Red Tornado ?, Orion ? and the Demon ? If I worked at Mattel, this sure as heck isn't a line up I'd kick off a spanking new 4H series with. Mattel should want characters that will sell off the shelf ASAP, so retailers will order more of that assortment and future assortments. When B and C tier characters warm the pegs, less store will carry the product and it will die a slow death like He-Man, Mattel Batman 2003-2005 and DC Superheroes. I didn't collect the Superman DCSH figures other than basic Supes and Clark, but the supporting characters made sense and looked pretty darn cool. Mainly though, little Johnny knew who they were and they sold. Little Johnny's mom won't be buying him Etrigan or Orion, unless he watched the JLU cartoon. Even then, at 10 bucks a pop, it's a hard sell. On the bright side, at least collectors won't have to worry about scalper reselling the B and C tier figures. ;D I'll still buy any Batman characters they come out with and any main JL members; if and when they're made.
