[shadow=red,left,300]Hey Shawn, maybe you can help me out on the second level. When I get the throwing stars, I'm only able to throw one to get the rope ladder down. After that I'm unable to throw any more to advance in the level...any thoughts?[/shadow]

Let me double check and I will let you know exactly what to do later tonight.

Is Batman Begins worth picking up? Would you all recommend getting it? I am a bit cautious because everytime I get a batman game, it let's me down.

Is Batman Begins worth picking up? Would you all recommend getting it? I am a bit cautious because everytime I get a batman game, it let's me down. [shadow=red,left,300]Let me give you my impressions so far. -The game does look fantastic. Without a doubt one of the best looking Batman games ever. -The voice acting is top notch, what with pretty much the whole cast of Begins lending their voices to the game. -Okay, now the game is pretty linear. There isn't much room to explore as the game will pretty much point you in the direction you need to go. -Sure, you have access to Batman's wonderful gadgets, but you can only use them when the game tells you to. If a situation requires you to use a Batarang, an icon will appear on screen telling you to do so. Same goes with the Grapple Gun. Pretty disapointing, considering there are instances where you would like to use a Batarang on an enemy. You can't. In the levels I've gone through so far, the Batarang is required only when you need to bust open a pipe to gain access to it, or to throw into a tank in a boiler room, causing havoc for the enemies in the room with it. Perhaps in later levels it will allow you to use it on enemies, hopefully so. -I haven't made it to the Batmobile sections of the game, so I can't comment on those. As one reviewer from IGN.com mentioned, "It feels like the game is holding your hand throughout". I would have to agree with that. If the game allowed you to roam freely through levels, and use your weapons on what you wanted to, it would have been better. So far, this game isn't enough for myself to warrant a purchase, perhaps I'll change my tune the further I advance..but besides the driving levels, I have a feeling it will be more of the same. Don't get me wrong though, I am having fun with this game, it's just that I know this game could have been so much more. A good weekend rental at best in my opinion.[/shadow]

Yup. This game is too easy. I have to try this on challenge mode now. The driving levels are pretty cool. Rent it. True hardcore batfans will own it. At least I can say thats its one of the better Batamn games out there.

Then again if you want alot of gameplay out of it, then do every difficulty mode.

I'm a hardcore gamer and I have to say, this game is really good. It has to be the best Batman game yet. I can tell, because I'm still playing it. All the other Batman games, I started to play then I stopped, because they weren't that great.

I call it Splinter Cell Light, The Best Batman Game to Date. EA hopefully will carry the sequel to a higher level, more free reign, it does hold your hand throughout, but that comes in handy for my 5 year old, Nice feature on easy, annoying on the highest level.
Worth owning, I paid 29 @ Comp USA last week, worth every penny.

One other thing thats pretty neat, if you do certain things, like drop some smoke bombs by some barrels while hanging from a pipe, you can drop down and perform a stealth move pulling one of the bad guys in between the barrels and taking him out, I'm not sure how many sneak attacks like this are in the game, but it does have replay value.

Im having difficulty getting past the level five( i guess)in which you have to jump from platforms to wire-rolls to get to the top of this building in the Narrows.Any hints/ suggestions?Has anyone been able to get screenshots of Bats "fear gas Man-bat demon" suit if so could you e-mail or post them?

The timing on the jumps to get you across when gliding, trying to remember the level, also look for ledges or pipes sometimes it's not clear. The worst time I had was in the libary at the mansion, I know I was to take out the vase first and then the 3 ninjas, but I could not make it across to the vase, I ended up beating the nijas first and than jumping from bookcase to bookcase to the last light and climbing up the chain to get out. The new suits after beating it are a nice touch, the game is a little simplistic, but I've enjoyed it.

I just finished the game as well. I agree with ManBat, it's a pretty simplistic game, but enjoyable nonetheless. The alternate suits after you beat it are really cool. Nothing like running through Gotham in the 80s blue and grey.

I'd be saying the same thing tonight, but one spot that my game was saved on was damaged, and thankfully I saved on a different spot earlier in the game, otherwise I'd have to do the whole game over. Now only a few levels. Still, got me frusterated.

And what I really love is that this set the standard, now the Batman games are going to get better and better as long as EA is still working on them.

i've had this game about 3 weeks now, and heres what I wrote in the Begins Game Review thread (copied & Pasted):
I completed this game last night.
From some reviews I read, I got the impression it was too short, but playing it through, it felt ok length-wise.
Graphics were good, story was comparable to the film, and the voice acting was great, particularly Bale.
the bonus items were also a nice addition.
the game felt way too linear though, and it would have been nice if you could throw batarangs whenever you wanted to, and at whatever you wanted to hit, and if you could use the grapple gun to aim at certain objects when you wanted to, instead of only at 1 specific grapple point when you were allowed to.
the batmobile missions were easy enough, and suprisingly it handled quite well.
overall if looks very well made and should be rented/bought by anyone who liked the film.
one thing i'm confused about, when you 'finish' someone, are you killing him or just knocking him out? surely killing is against Batmans vows, so maybe they could have replaced the word 'finish' with 'KO' every time you finish with an enemy. the word 'finish' reminds me too much of games like Mortal Kombat where you do actually kill them.
I might play it through once more with a different suit and on the hardest difficulty, but ultimately there's not much replayability in it. once you've played it through the first time, you know exactly what you have to do, so you get straight to the task, whereas the first time you might have had to think of a strategy a little bit.
@ Manbat, when doing longer jumps, do a double-jump by pressing jump twice, but leave half a second gap between the double jump, so you can jump longer distances.
@ Freizerader, how did it take you so long to do the construction site level? you climb a bit, batarang some wire rolls, jump, glide and climb them, then batarang the light, climb the chain with the bucket etc etc. I though it was very straightforward.
I started playing it again with a blue suit, but hated the look of it so restarted with the Begins suit. its much easier 2nd time through, because you know the order in which to do everything.
and Jim Gordon doesn't look much like Oldman, badly modelled in my opinion.

I agree with the finish him, the first thing I thought of was MK, I was waiting for him to pull out someones spine. Heroed you on the double jump tip, although it was more fun to beat on the ninjas first.

Cheers, I did a hero back at you.
basically, let Bruce fall slightly before pressing jump for the 2nd time, you cover greater distances that way instead of quickly double-tapping jump.
