I am down for a game like this, GTA or Metal Gear style, it would rule if you got the right people behind it, to finally do Batman justice in the video game aspect. There have been a few games that had potential but just bombed, because they were too easy or too repetititve.
A comic based game in the style of GTA or Metal Gear Solid would be the best format to use, and it would be great to see No Man's Land, Knightfall, etc type of storylines.
It would be great to unlock secret costumes, or even go into a special game mode of the 66 version tv show...

I remember someone posted they should make a Batman game that's like the Activision Spider-Man games. And I always have wanted an actually good Batman comic game.
I do like the stealth and fear techniques used in Begins, and think that should be used for future Batman games.
I do like what Techno Bat said about hidden costumes that would give players something to work for. Also I think there should be hidden icons to unlock hidden comic covers with summaries about them to go along with each mission like Knightfall, No Man's Land, and probably War Games as extras.

I'd go for that. I think it'd be cool for the game to cover different points in Batman's career, such as levels based on Year One, in which you have to survive the scene when Bats gets trapped in the building, surrounded by cops(something really cool could be done with the bats), A Death in the Family, where you have to hunt down and fight Joker after he kills Jason Todd(I haven't actually read the story, so I don't know exactly what happens), Knightfall, where you would track down villains Bane freed, fight Bane, get healed after being beaten, and take down Az-Bats, and No Man's Land, where you would keep the peace in anarchy-ridden Gotham.

Batman has the greatest Rogues Gallery in the history of Comics and it really is a shame to not utilize them and give Batman justice in a really awesome, comic book based video game. All the stories/saga's that Batman has been through over the years there is potential for tons and tons of stuff to base the game off of, as a group we have touched on a few.
Perhaps you could start the game off in year one and work you way towards building up your power/heatlh/experience, and go from there. Then as you move along from year to year, or story to story, you can upgrade in costumes, and collect all sorts of cool gadgets for the utility belt, and of course the same would work for vehicles as well...

Good ideas HUSH, and if I could add could on: We could have the Bruce Wayne:Murderer storyline with Bruce escaping prison and trying to find Cain. We could use HUSH with Batman fighting Croc, Ivy, Superman, (beating the crap out of) Joker, Riddler, Ra's Al Ghul, Scarecrow, and Hush. In WAR GAMES, we could try to put a stop to the Gang War and free the hostages at Tim's school. If they used our ideas, we could have the best Batman game ever!

Yes, it was I that had brought this up earlier. I think that bonuses that should be included should include: the different costumes, different villain designs, and different Batmobiles. Interesting levels could include: Scarecrow's fear gas could affect the screen so that you start seeing things that aren't there (similar to MGS2 in Arsenal, but more spooky), Poison Ivy would make for an incredible level (I think it should involve some vine swinging and a minigame to avoid kissing Ivy, etc.
Something that I also wanted is to be able to use any of the vehicles. You could be freefalling from a skyscraper, hit a button on the utility belt, and the Batwing swoops down and takes you away. I also want a direct copy of Spiderman's webswinging because that was so fun and would translate easily (instead of webs, grapples). I like the idea of co-op using the sidekicks. ]
I think that the story can heavily draw from all of the comics that you guys mentioned, but I think it should definitely be its own universe and have the freedom to make some other stories. I like this thread.

I like the idea of the free falling Nightwing, but you know what would make it cooler? You press the button and activate the Batglider. And co-op missions with sidekicks would be great too with two-player mode.
I think your right about a new story for the game. We know about the stories, but I think it would be cooler to see something we'd never expect.
I know this is about a comic game, but I'd really like to see a THE BATMAN game. We could have it like the Spider-Man games. We could chose to free roam by jumping from rooftop to rooftop, using the Batglider, or just cruisin' in the Batmobile(old and new). Plus, it should have incredible boss battles with Joker, Bane, etc.....ah, you get the idea.

Or maybe when you travel into the east end of Gotham ,if you stay there and look around enough, you see a catwomen start jumping over the rooftops, which opens some mini missions, just imagine, you could have a second account as robinand the storylines change for that player!a full roam GCPD department, where you could pop in into commissioner Gordons office!!

Lol.
I like the idea of playing through major chapters in Batman's career, but it wouldn't work as well as a new storyline would. It wouldn't be as accessable to the general public. I like the Catwoman idea, but I don't think she should only be in the East end, she should pop up everywhere as a subplot within the main plot of the game. It should be completely open ended with several different endings & scenarios depending on how you play & what yo do.
