Pandemic, the acclaimed developers of Destroy All Humans, Star Wars Battlefront, Full Spectrum Warrior & Mercenaries are currently producing the TDK video game. Currently known as project B, the studio claims that it's their most ambitious project to date. I'm really hoping they have a Wii team to create a Wii exclusive version of the game.

They won't forget about the last gen consoles, they'd be cutting out a huge marketing area. I'd rest assured that it'll come on the PS2, X-Box, X-BOX 360, Wii, PS3, & Gamecube

The Cube is definitely done with and the Box should be done with by next summer when this comes out.

Nintendo plans to keep the Cube alive for awhile, not much longer, but awhile none the less. TDK coming for the cube is less likely, but it can still happen. Why wouldn't they release it on the XBox? they did it with Spidey3, besides, it's still got some life in it, & it's a logical step once the PS2 version's complete, all they have to do is remap the controls & change some codes slightly.

I just don't see the originall x-box lasting into next summer, especially with Halo 3 coming out within the next year for the 360, the original should be done by then.

to lay all the rumors to rest, Pandemic never officially said they were making a game based on the new movie. they are working on 6 projects, and each is named via a letter of the alphabet. "Project B" was never said to be anything related to Batman and the rumors now suggest that it's a brand new title that they're secretly developing.
also of note, EA has recently bought Pandemic and has control over all current projects. Project B is being developed by Brisane Studios and the project is currenly up in the air. EA is not in the habit of keeping the names of the games they are making secret and if they acquired a company that was making a Batman game, believe me it would be announced.
so to sum up, there are no plans at this time for a TDK video game. no company is currently working on this game at this time, so if a game does eventually get made dont expect it to launch with the movie. i see this as good news, as the Batman Begins game was atrocious and might have been the worst Batman game made to date. sales werent high for the game either. also when the movie gets released there are 3 top games set to come out that a TDK game cant compete with, Ninja Gaiden 2, Soul Caliber IV, and Street Fighter IV. the sales wouldnt be there for the gam, so dont expect a company to take a loss on it.

First, let me disagree to say that the Batman Begins video game was awesome and fun, especially the use of putting fear in your enemies. And to say that it's the worst Batman game to date is an insult. remember Dark Tommorow? Story was good but the gameplay, now that was atrocius. As for TDK game, maybe they could have it come out along with the DVD release like Superman Returns did, even though that games was still horrible.

Batman Begins, you are entitled to your opinion, but it was not a good game. horrible fighting engine, way too easy, not long enough, bad graphics, bad load times, horrible camera angles and control, out of date physics engine, poor and rushed cutscenes. all of those things made it bad. there has yet to be a good movie based game. ever. it's just something that hasnt been done well. usually the games only have a select following as most gamers wont touch movie based games unless they want easy achievements and they are for the most part very rushed and you can tell when you play them. TDK, i agree that if it gets made at all it would have to get released at the same time as the dvd.

On March 13, 2008, in a Toy News International Q & A, Mattel said that they had access to Deathstroke as a figure because he appears in the upcoming Dark Knight video game. Link can be found here: toynewsi.com/index.php?itemid=12654In addition, on March 16, 2008, a Pandemic forum administrator said this about the announcement of a Dark Knight video game: "Anticipation is a normal and natural thing. Unfortunately, there's not much we can do for you at this stage. If and when we have a new game coming out after Mercs 2 and Sabotuer, we'll build a forum for it and announce it on the site here." The Pandemic link: www.pandemicstudios.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8263I am confused. Do we know for sure that no company is working on a TDK game?

Do we know for sure that no company is working on a TDK game? no company has been anounced to have the license and no company is announced as making the game. the pandemic rumors started because they are working on 5 games, Project A, B, C, D, and E respectively. people just automatically assumed that Project B meant Batman, not knowing that they called all the games they were working on by a letter with no specific reasoning for it. so as of this moment there is not a Batman game in production by any company and no company has been announced to begin producing one either. movie games generally dont sell well and never get good reviews as they are usually poor games. Batman Begins, while liked by some, did not sell well at all and most game developers dont see a market for the game. the gaming industry and the movie industry just dont mix. there has never been a good movie based game and there has never been a good game based movie. they keep trying, but it just doesnt work.

I agree with you that most of the Batman games have been disappointing. But to think that Batman can be successful in all other media and not video games is a mistake. The problem is a lack of innovation on the part of developers.
Goldeneye, Star Wars (Rogue Squadron II and Knights of the Old Republic), and Spider Man all had good video game runs. I just hope if they do decide to make a Dark Knight game they take the time to do it right.

TDK would be a movie based batman game. Rogue Squadron is comic based, as is KOTOR. and the movie based Spider-Man games are not great at all. Batman can and should be made into video games, but done right and comic based. Dark Tomorrow had a great story but suffered from a very bad camera and a poor physics engine. if they could fix both of those problems and keep a good story i'd love to see Dark Tomorrow 2 get made.

I am totally with you on wanting to see Batman in a new comic-based game. I've often wondered how cool it would to see some of the great Batman comic stories translated into a badass video game.
But I still think that a game set in the Nolan Bat-Universe could be a good idea. It can be done. Goldeneye had a story directly translated from the movie and set the standard for first person shooters. The Star Wars games may have been based on the comics, but the comics were based on the movies. I may be wrong, but didn't Rogue Squadron have a level where you attacked the Death Star that was ripped right out of the movies? I thought the first Spidey was fun...it stayed true to the character and was really fun to play. I think that one got good reviews but I can't really remember.
Would you be O.K. with a sort of Gotham Knights style game? A game set in the Nolan-verse but a totally new story set before, between, or after the movies.
My major problem is that we hardly get any Batman games at all. The first Batman game we finally get on a next generation console is Lego Batman? WTF? Legos...Really? What's next Spongebob SquareBat? It wouldn't bother me so much if we had other new Batman games. I think there is room for all of these Bat-versions. I just wish the developers would hurry up and make a good one...comic, movie, cartoon, whatever.

And I really believe that the Nolan-verse Batman can be successfully adapted to a video game (though in my opinion it did with Batman Begins). But a Gotham Knights game would kick serious @$$. And hopefully one day we will get the definitive Batman comics game, since Dark Tommorow sucked majorly. Why can't Batman games be as good as the Spider-Man games?

I hope the Lego Batman game does well. I probably won't be buying it, but if the sales are good maybe it will lead to more Batman games. I liked the Batman Begins game too. It wasn't perfect but fun to play.

I agree....Begins was by far from a great game, but I sadly thought it was better than most other Batman games. They need to make a game with some heavy RPG elements in it, allowing the 'detective' nature of Bats to shine just as much (if not more) as the 'butt-kicker' Bats. I wouldn't be opposed to a TDK game, but I would prefer a comic based game.

www.dbtechno.com/gaming/2008/04/03/pandemic-working-on-batman-the-dark-knight-game/Pandemic Working On Batman: The Dark Knight Game April 3, 2008 Boston (dbTechno) - Pandemic is apparently hard at work developing a new Batman game to tie-in with the upcoming movie, Batman: The Dark Knight. The game will likely be released on all major platforms including the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii. The news was originally posted by IGN and then immediately taken down. The thought process is that IGN most likely jumped the gun a bit with the announcement, as there has yet to be an official press release come out formally announcing the existence of the game. It seems pretty obvious though that no one would pass up the opportunity to make a Batman game to tie-in with the movie, especially since movies like The Jumper even get video games based off of them now.
