Heres a first look at the smaller line I gotta say it doesn't look like a good start to the 5.5' line as I don't like variations that much but -Here ya go:

you have to credit someone for that pic, unless you actually have that figure carded in your hand and took the picture which i know you didnt as someone posted the exact pic on www.superherohype.com first, this is also not the first look as Matt started the thread for this entire line and had loose pics up awhile ago. and i posted the link to this pic and the others in that thread earlier this morning.

12 inch fig looks okay minus the butterfly wings.
The Hyper figure looks good, but the articulation looks very limited and that better not be the Joker we're getting!
The 5 inchers, Ill skip those altogether.
Batmobile, well, been there bought that.lol
Overall, I must say that I am not impressed at all by these figures based on todays competitive figure lines.

These are the prototypes. Whats the big deal? They always look better ... I remember the Superman figures came out in pictures like these and looked way worse then the production ones. BTW, where were these pics from. Looks like they are making Jokers goons. Cause that isn't the Joker. That's the mask of the head Joker goon.

like i said at the fwoosh board, OMG the 14" batman is cool but i don't like the cape. i hope they fix it to look more like the first one so i can remove it. the 6" is awsome the sculpt is excelient, in the fwoosh board they have a pic of an unmasked batman with a wayne head its cool. the batmobile is cool to vehclies in one im getting that one too, and the 5" is ok i might get the new suit figure for the batmobile. so far it looks good so far can't wait to see more at toyfair.

I simply hate all of the goofy colors that they use on Batman figures. I would think that they could at least find better combos than copper and gray. The bright yellow one just kills me.

14" Batman- I'm not a real fan on the big figures.
6" figures- Like Batman. But is there any reason for the Joker goons to have figures too?
5.5" figures- That last Batman is the only good one to me. I hate different colored Batman. Especially that yellow one. Bleh.
Batmobile- So does the Batpod come out of the Tumbler or what?

The more I see the suit, the more I hate it. I'll pick up the figures anyway.

I like the hyper-figures, it looks like they have a good amount of detail and articulation. Everything else, though, is subpar, and I truly hope Mattel gets their act together by the time these are released. The Batman Begins line was incredibly disappointing, and I hope that those in charge of this line will at least release figures which accurately represent the characters in the film, unlike the wacko Scarecrow figures from the Begins line (there were something like five variants, and not a single one looked like what we saw in the film).
Of course, based on what we've got so far, The Dark Knight 5.5 inch line is looking like a continuation of the Begins line, which can only spell out 'disappointment.' I'm starting to wonder what it would take to get an accurate, pleasing movie-based line. It looks like we might be 0 for 6.

I think the bat-pod fits inside the batmobile so It looks like when batman goes down and shoots the cops in the first one and comes out as the batpod. But the 5.5 line is looking bad, the hyper batman shoulders pads look like they'll ristrict the arm movement and the cape I feel that this time round it should be cloth cape for the 6' lines. The 12' figure well lets see looks like poor articulation and the cape looks like butterflie wings and it should be longer.
Mattel I'll say that your henchmen are good now justwork on the rest so it reaches the henchmen standards. Also please get rid of the yellow batman its horrible

According to the source who posted these pics on SHH, these are available for pre order from one of the internet toy dealers. Not sure who. Also, the Hyper Batman comes with interchangable heads, one being Bales mug.
The Hyper line looks to be okay, I want to see the others tho. Im really hoping they change the cape on the 14". if not, Ill just remove it and make my own.lol. The 5 inchers do not impress me at all. As said, it looks like nothing more than an extension of the Begins line. Too many costume variants, and we all know what happened with the Begins line. They got majorly reduced by retailers and started showing up at dollar stores.
It was also stated that the Hyper movie line "expansion fgiures" that have been mentioned is going to cinsist of newly done Superman Returns figs and possibly the now-in-limbo JL movie.
I really wish they would revisit the old franchise. Such potential.

I agree with Batlaw! Looks like I can save my money and buy some retro Bat merch this year. I won't spend a dime on this crap! Those of you that want it, just wait till the movies come and gone and there will be tons of it in the clearance isles just like Spiderman 3 stuff

There have been rumors/reports that in addition to the actual TDK figs for the Hyper line, there were also going to be "expanded universe" figures, much like the Spidey line. I do believe Firefly was mentioned. Alot of poeple have been hoping that this would mean possibly getting figures from the past movies. Like they did with the Spidey line. Unfortunately, according to the SHH scooper, it isnt going to be from past Batman movies, but rather from Superman Returns and the possible JL movie.
Again, this is all "rumor" until something gets officially released from Mattel. Hopefully the question will be answered in the Q&A as this particular question has been asked many times.

In an interview with Superhero Times, a Mattel Rep revealed that there will be a new 30" TDK Batman at WalMart this summer! I for one absolutely love those big figs.

You know, I'm quite sure I will take a great amount of sh*t for this but even though I really agree with y'all about the ugly colors and stupid gadgets so many of these figures come with, one side of me loves them because I know they can usually be found for like $2.00 at discount stores about 6 mos after they are released!

Yeah, in no time at all you wont be able to give them away. Such is the case with 99% of such movie merch.
