That thing was bothering me so much last night that as soon as I woke up this morning I had to try and do something to fix it. So I heated the leg for about 5 minutes with the hair dryer and was able to turn the leg at the hip. I think it looks a little better now as he doesn't have the thunder thighs. Maybe now I'll sleep better tonight. ;D PJ

I may have to do that. It improved things a great deal for a small fix.

Hey Pj, Can you define "turn the leg at the hip" a little more? Do you mean you twisted the plastic of the leg? Or somehow altered the joint. Also, if this only involved heat, isn't it likely the plastic will revert to form in a few days? (That's happened to me often.) What you've done looks much better, and I'd like to follow suit if I know it will be permanant. Thanks, Casimir Inanimate Objects! www.pilliod.net

No, I just heated the plastic and twisted it forward (the whole leg) from just below the hip joint. then I held it in place while it cooled under cold water. I didn't do anything to alter the joint.(as that is out of my league) I did this before with Mattel JL figures when they first came out. I did it to bend their arms and widen their legs bases and they've seemed to have held up. But I guess I'll see in a few days as this is a much thicker piece of plastic. But that's why I tried to do it at the thinnest part of the thigh. But so far so good. We'll be away until Sunday night so I'll see how he looks when we come back. PJ

I think you're stuck with it having Thunder Thighs I think that's just Lee's art style coming out.

you didnt do it right if it came back even a little. i work with plastics every day,and if you heat the plastic for long enough and then quickly cool it with running water, you have to let the cold water on it for at least a minute, that gives it enough time to cool al the plastic right down to the core. i did something similar to the right leg of zipline bats to make him stand up perfectly straight cause i dont like that slight lean he has. it has been 6 months and it hasnt moved at al

I had heated it and twisted it right at the bottom of the blue trunks...And that never changed back. It seems like just below the knee joint moved slighty...which I really didn't heat to begin with.
