Here are my custom figures. My first attempt at a movie type figure. I repainted a Tech Armor Batman and added a bigger cape. I am actually going to redo a lot of this one sometime. Repaint of the Martial Arts Batman from the Nightwing two pack. I just didn't like the colors before. I really like the way this turned out. I have this one at work, and several people have told me they like it. This is my attempt at a Begins type figure. It is my first custom that wasn't just a repaint. The parts are from four different figures: Tech Armor (legs, belt and gloves), Zipline (cowl, cape is homemade), ElectroNet (head, trimmed ears), and Snare Strike (torso and arms). I did lose the waist articulation because the only way I could figure out to take the figure apart is to break the waist joint. Comments? Questions? Suggestions?

Thanks for the kind words Bullock. The First cape is just some cheap fabric I found at Walmart. I think it was around $1 per yard. It is some kind of fake satin like stuff.
The Martial Arts is the cape that came with the figure.
The Begins is some heavier fabric that I thought I would try out, but it tended to fall apart on me a little much. It came from walmart as well. I will probably use the other kind next time, or redo the cape on this with that kind.

Really great stuff, Darknight!
The Begins figure looks incredible especially considering that you haven't had much other than a few promo pics to go off of!!

The "Begins" one is my favorite, but they all look reallly good!
I like that begins one a lot, though. The gold looks fantastic against the black. Wish there was a clearer picture of it.

Thanks for the good compliments.
The Begins is my favorite too. I have tried and tried to photgraph that figure, and everytime it is fuzzy. I guess WB is even influencing my camera by trying to prevent a clear picture. If anyone has some suggestions, I will give them a shot (bad pun).

I find if i'm having a hard time getting a decent shot of a figure or model i just take it outside.Natural sunlight i find is the best lighting for a clear picture and bringing up the detail. And believe me i am no photographer but i have had some great results doing that.

Those are awesome! I had the exact same idea for a begins figure! I was just thinking of it the other day! Great minds think alike.

[shadow=purple,left,300]I'm digging the "Begins" figure, too. There's a lot of glare, but if you focus in, it looks rather cool. I hope that Mattell's version comes pretty close to this one.[/shadow]

'begins' looks the coolest ... (or is it the shiny-ness? hmm ...) and also, i like the way the cape works with the 'movie' one, although i think he needs shoulder pads to create that imposing silhouette ... (peace! no offense!) nice work!

Shoulder Pads? Care to explain that. I am going to work on that figure a little more. It has quite a few problems, the cape being chief. So any suggestions on improving it would be appreciated.

[shadow=purple,left,300]The pics aren't showing up on my computer, so I'll try to remember what the figure looked like. Okay. My only suggestion is to give it more of a roughed-up, prototype look, for lack of better words. And when you take a picture of it, take it outside, as FB suggested![/shadow]
