I have just taken my Nightwing out and I go to put the stud in the bottom of his foot and as I push the heel down the stud goes practically all the way in and there isn’t enough sticking out to grab with needle nose pliers.
So I need some help on how to get the stud out. The only thing I can think of now is using a hairdryer to loosen it a bit.

I'd suggest sticking a needle into the stud. See if that works to pull it out.

If heating it up doesn't work you may have to drill it out carefully and replace it.That's what i would do anyway. You would have to use a hand drill or a pin vice drill as a powered drill would melt the plastics together.

Should I heat the tip of the needle?

Should I heat the tip of the needle? That's a good idea. It might go into the plastic easier that way. Even if it doesn't - it's not like you're going to damage the already broken-off peg, so if it doesn't work, go with FB's suggestion and drill it out.
