In BTAS, the episodeTrial was going to be a full length movie but was replaced with MOTP. Nearly all of Batman's rogues were there (not included were Penguin, Clayface, Mr. Freeze, Bane, and Ra's al Ghul). Unfortunately, there has not been a commentary on the episode explaining what would have taken place had it been a movie. The Riddler may have had a larger part, but in the episode he was a member of the jury only. He didn't even stay for the execution. What happened? I don't believe the answers are on the internet for I have checked search engines. Does anyone have any theories on the situation?

Hmmm, no idea. This may be the first Ive heard of it? Where is this info? Couldve worked though I think. But who knows, assuming this is the case how for it actually got? Perhaps it was never anything more than just the idea phase for the film version. Maybe they changed it because they fealt it better fit the episode format? All depends on just how fully realized and fleahsed out it was when / if it was considered as a feature length. Like with "Epilogue" which was also originally intended.

I don't remember where I found this information. I read so much on the web, I often forget where I got it from. The way that I remember it, I may be wrong, but it was that they decided MOTP would make a better movie. It kind of shows in the episode as so much happens in such a little amount of time.

I completely relate lol. I wish I had saved/recorded all the resources that I used and quoted to compile my Time line. As for Trial, I would assume the team hadnt accomplished much more than an outline for the story as with MOTP before it really moved into full on production... but thats just my assumption. If you stumble upon you source again please pass it along

Thanks for finding that page. I find it odd though that this information isn't somewhere out on the web. Had the internet been as big back then, I'm sure that we would have that information. If we get an interview opportunity with either Bruce Timm or Paul Dini, I'd like to ask them about it.
