In 1978 (or somewhere in there) Regal Films made a Spanish Batman movie (not liscensed by WB, and made in the Phillipines) called "Alyas Batman en Robin". It was a salute to the 1960's show. In it, two men have dreams of themselves as Batman and Robin and they have battles with the Joker, and the Penguin (who are the dreamers real enemies). In the end Batman sings "At the Hop" and Superman, Spider-man, and Wonder Woman dance! It is 102 minutes. Has anyone seen or heard about this? (I just read about it!) Is it on DVD?

I have a VHS copy someplace...A friend of mine who speaks Tagalog (or the Filipino language spoken in the film) came over to try to watch and translate for me but couldn't because he was cracking up so much while watching. From what I could put together...the son reads comics and convinces his father to be Batman and help him fight crime. The costumes seem to be based on the '66 tv shows costumes with Robin's "R" like a Crown Royal logo or something. Robin seems to do more of the work as the son seems really into it while the father falls asleep while working out. Robin also drives the Batmobile in the movie. I believe that Catwoman makes an appearance too and there are a couple of song and dance numbers in the film. LOL...as I was writing this, I was also looking on Youtube and they have a trailer for it there... www.youtube.com/watch?v=wygrQ1rYeAQ I'll see if I can dig it out later... (vVv)
