[shadow=purple,left,300]I know we have a few fans of the show "Rescue Me" on the boards, so I thought I'd bring up this bit of good news: The third season starts on Tuesday, May 30 at 10:00 pm! The next season will feature Denis Leary's character Tommy Gavin picking himself up after his son's sudden death and will also feature Susan Surrandon in a guest-starring role as Franco's love interest. I'm really looking forward to this! ;D
By the way, the complete second season will be available on DVD May 9![/shadow]

^ I am super pumped for the new season to start up, I want to know what is going to happen to Lenny Clarke's character...
I hope they are done with whole Tommy and his wife back and forth storyline, because I grew tired of it. I think it would be cool to shove it to the back burner for some time...
Susan Sarandon as Franco's love interest? ? ? Now that is going to be interesting...

I honestly hadn't seen this thread Jman - otherwise, you know I'd have been all over it!!
I CAN'T WAIT for Rescue Me to be back on tv. It is one of very few shows that I will stop everything in the house to watch in peace. (Believe me - when you have as many kids as I do, that's no small feat!)

I love this show. In fact, I'm watching it on TV right now. I have seen every episode so far, more than once. I think that season 1 was a little better than season 2. I don't think that they have done much for publicity on this season. I got super psyched last season because they had that awesome commercial for it. This time, they haven't really given us that much. I'm still really excited. I hope the season surpasses my expectations.

[shadow=purple,left,300]^ The publicity is starting to pick up. It seems like they have an ad for the third season during every commercial break on FX (that's actually how I found out about the May start).
From what I read on TV.com, the season picks up a few months after last season's finale, with Lenny Clark's character in prison and Tommy Gavin trying to find a new "heir" in one of his daughters.[/shadow]

I thought this was a good premiere. I like the smoking storyline. I have to say that I totally predicted Johnny being the new boyfriend. As soon as I saw her in that bed, I knew it was him. I was cracking up when Lou mentioned the old phrase, "Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone." The way Sean thought he got it from Pink Floyd and Michael thought it was Green Day. I think this is going to be a great season. The whole thing with Damien is a little out of the blue. I think the smoking theme is really neat.

Has anybody else been watching this season? I haven't missed an episode yet. Every night it's on everything in my house (at least everything related to my duties) stops. Kids better be in bed, wife is usually working on homework, so the tv is all mine! I was suprised to see Sheila freaking out last week! I thought for sure it would be Janet.

I haven't missed an episode yet, one of the best shows on tv at the moment in my opinion (along with Deadwood), and enjoyed the hell out of this season so far. By the way, the show has already been reknewed for a fourth season too, so there's plenty more Leary led goodness on the cards yet...

I know what you mean. I look forward to it all day and then I usually watch the premier and the encore. I don't know what it is that makes this such a great show.

So my prediction is Tommy lived, Sheila died.

[shadow=purple,left,300]The season ended a lot differently than I thought. I thought they'd kill off the chief, promote Lou to chief, Franco would get Lieutenant, Mike would stay gay and Maggie would screw Sean over somehow. The penultimate episode disproved everything, though.
I have a feeling they both survived. It's not really something which has me grasping to find out what happens next-- would they kill off Jack Bauer on "24?" No. So Tommy Gavin will be back, and I could care less as to what happens to Sheila, since she is my least favorite character.
Bring on Season 4![/shadow]
