Saw it today. I thought it was great. Phoenix was good, it was cool how she disintegrated everyone. I wish the sentinels were really in it though instead of the Danger Room simulation. All in all another good X-film. Also, the scene after the credits, to me, was a "holy $#it" moment.
I hope they make an X4.

[shadow=purple,left,300]The movie takes a while to digest, but overall it was mildly entertaining. It moved along too fast, and some of the dialogue was incredibly stale. The deaths seemed pointless, and there were too many mutants clogging up the screen. The fast pace also took away from many of the mutants' emotional depth. Wolverine is two-dimensional, Magneto delivers crummy, emotionless lines and Storm's haircut is just plain annoying.
However, those bad points aside, it can be stomached. I enjoyed Kelsey Grammar as Beast. The effects were great, and I loved the destruction of the Golden Gate Bridge and Iceman vs. Pyro. The danger room scene was amusing. 6/10 from me, with the hope that they keep Brett Ratner away from any future sequels. [/shadow]

That's a difficult question to answer in a non-spoilerific thread, but it has to do with the man in the hospital you see early on in the movie. Let's just say he becomes the receptor for a powerful mutant. That was what I saw - any other endings?

[shadow=purple,left,300]Rumor has it there are three endings, one to compliment each mutant who died. I bet they'll be online soon or on the DVD.[/shadow]

I've seen threads indicating multiple end credit scenes along the lines of what J-man said, so far none confirmed.

I loved X3! It may help that I'm not as familiar with X-Men as I am with other characters but I thought that they did a good job. The Phoenix was absolutely beautiful and Juggernaut's line was priceless. I also saw the after-the-credits thingy, and I can only hope they will make another X-Men movie soon b/c you can't just leave a sistah hangin' like that! I wil definetely be 1st in line to buy the dvd!

Well I managed to see X3 this weekend. Other than some "eye candy" effects here and there and the pure "fun" of revisiting some familiar faces, characters, etc. the movie had little to offer. I cant believe how virtually emotionless everything came accross on screen, and how "uneffected" / emotionless I feel about it all and everything that happened. Seemed like two hours of "filler" or "set up" for the actual movie to come.. or like watching a bunch of deleted scenes from the actual movie ya know? Very empty despite what was supposedly taking place (deaths and such). I dont wanna totally bash it, but it was a true dis-service to this franchise and its past and future potential. I just hope Marvel and all involved learn their lesson and realize good things take time.
On a side note, did anybody see the chess piece at the end move? I didnt, but the wife swears it did?

I saw it a couple days ago, and really liked it, actually. I definitely agree that there were too many ideas and plot directions crammed in, but overall, I enjoyed it. I didn't mind a bit how they pulled off Phoenix- the X-men definitely weren't going into space in this film, and they had enough things to deal with and explain in the film already. I think the Phoenix being a result of her powers and Xavier's trying to control them is perfectly acceptable. I also liked X's death, it was plenty emotional and dramatic, although I was hoping for some closure on Scott's. It seemed to me that he was killed off quickly to give Wolverine a much more central role in the events with Phoenix. Fortuntely, I like Wolvie WAY better than Scott, so I don't mind. The main joy of this movie for me, however, was Magneto, both the character and Ian McKellen's portrayal of him. McKellen has been just radiant as Magneto in all the films, but he had a bigger role and more screentime in this one, so I enjoyed him more. And he definitely moved the chesspiece with his powers at the end, and the way I rationalize that is that since he is such an incredibly powerful mutant, I believe his X-gene can't be stopped permanently by the cure. Obviously he was only starting to regain his powers at the end, so I'm sure it will be a while before he has them back completely. But I would have been very unhappy if he had become a human for good, and I'm sure he would've gone insane if he had to be a homo sapien for the rest of his days. I didn't know there was anything after the credits, unfortunately, so I left, but I'm going again, so I'll see the last part then.

just so everyone knows, Halle Berry has refused to do another superheroe movie, including doing another X-Men. She said this after X3 premeired and did well so its not outdated. And after so many main charecters deaths in this one, without her there will be almost no returning star power other than Ian and Hugh in a sequal. So i doubt X4 will happen. Maybe a The New X-Men movie, and we also have wolvering and a magneto spin off.

I'd say it is no loss losing Halle. She has become in love with herself too much anyway.
