Before speculation starts that we're doing Hush or Dark Knight or Legion of Super-Bat-men or some craziness, here's the deal:
Batman Strikes #35 will feature the debut in the comic of Harley Quinn. And the story is co written by Russell Lissau and... me!

Aw, Chris, I was hoping they'd really work themselves into a lather!!!!
But yes, it's true: Chris and I co-wrote #35, a tale titled THE CLOWN PRINCE OF LATE NIGHT.
It's the first time I've collaborated on a script, and I think the mix of ideas and visions really led to a killer story.
It'll be the first appearance of Harley Quinn in the comic, but that's not the only special thing about the story. Details on the real hook will have to wait until closer to the release date.

<<DC didn't supply the info on this one. >>
The cover says it all: HARLEY! JOKER! Ta-da!
Actually, the solicitation info I've seen was for a different issue. The image is right, but not the text. More later.

I think that's Dave McCaig's signature under the desk on the cover image.

<<Joker and Harley rocks!>>
Wait 'til you see the entire issue! I couldn't get Harley's voice out of my head as I was writing... her scenes are among the most-favorite I've ever written.

Just an update: Chris and I got the inked and lettered proofs last week, and the book looks great. I hope he's as excited as I am, now that the book is just 2 weeks away from stores!

I'm VERY excited about this one! Anyone who wants a sneak peek can check out my ComicSpace gallery: www.comicspace.com/christopherjones/comics.php?action=gallery&comic_id=9953remember, if you want to support the series, the best way is to ask your local comic shop to reserve a copy for you. If you put the comic on a pull list, they'll order that copy IN ADDITION to whatever they're ordering to put on the shelf. It's a better way to make sure the demand registered with the shop owner, the distributer, and DC Comics than just picking a copy up off the shelf. Chris
