The Mego Corps 12 inch boxed Captain America has a different sized head than its 8 inch counterpart. Many collectors dislike the figure because of it but for me i think thats the whole charm of Mego. They werent perfect by any means but they were well ahead of their time. As i am sure you know the Mego Corp first introduced the " bubble card " which is now a common packaging type. They were also responsible for regional distribution while the others had one single warehouse to distribute out of. It still happens today where in one part of the country you can have hundreds of the same item while in another part it'll be bone dry. It was alot worse before the Mego Corp introduced regional distribution.

wow, mego introduced bubble cards to the toy industry? that's a pretty cool little fact... i don't really know much about megos so this might be common knowledge that i'm just picking up...
and since it only takes one crazy fan to incite a riot:
mego celebrity? where where? AAAAAHHHH!!! ROBACK!!! WE LOOOOOVE YOU!!!
ok ok... so i overdid it... but i blame the butler and so should you!

Hey everyone, Congrats, Roback! I used to subscribe to Toy Shop for years until around 2001. Oh, I remember spending hours and hours of looking thru a thick issue with a magnifying glass...and oftentimes it caused me a nasty headache (heavy ink inhalation) I may consider resubscribing since you mentioned its new format has some interesting articles. So...what's their contact info? Cheers, Frosty
