I am just curious where everybody is going to see The Dark Knight for the first time?
Will you see it at the IMAX or go straight to the regular theatre?
This is for your first viewing of the Dark Knight. I know personally I am going to see it at the IMAX for the first time, even if it's sold out I will wait to see it at IMAX first

probably IMAX for me too. i did that for Begins and Superman Returns (which had a few 3D scenes in it too).
then i'll probably go and see it again the following week at a normal cinema.

Well, I'm not sure. We only have 1 IMax theatre in the whole country and its not in my town. Also TDK is going to be released here not on the 17th, but on 25th. I guess I could go to IMax if they show it there.

Definately IMAX. Fortunately there's a theatre on the other side of town that has both regular & IMAX screens

I will probably do the same thing Didn't they shoot some 3-D scenes specifically for The Dark Knight for IMAX viewing only?

Do any of you guys plan on having a party before the premiere? I'm planning on making a little one - some Bat-Themed decorations around the house, some pop-corn and stuff, then watch the Begins DVD and in the end - a TDK cake (I've already got the design ready).

Has to be regular. We just got stadium seating a few years ago. It is going to be awhile before we get IMAX. I think my friends are going to go dressed up as Joker thugs. I'm considering going in a different direction by shaving my face to look like Ra's al Ghul. Could be fun.

You should also watch the Gotham Knight DTV too, since that takes place between Begins and TDK.

I'll have to go to a regular theater because the closest IMAX is an hour away. i just hope the opening night crowd will be quiet and respectful because if not someones gonna get biffed, powed, and banged outta there!

They haven't released a new DC Animation DVD since The Batman vs Dracula...

Indeed! I hope they change their minds, but they said that Batman animation had poor sales in Bulgaria. Kids are into Spider-Man now...damn!
