I'm interested in buying some Super Powers Batman/Robin, but boy are they expensive. I'm going to probably be reduced to buying some Toy Biz DC Comics figures. I am curious over this because I was looking at the ultimate source for Bat-Figure info, of course the LoG and couldn't find any info on these. Is there a upcoming update soon with these? I didn't see them listed (I could have just missed it). I probably lost whoever's reading this so I'll just put the question point blank: Is there a Toy Biz DC Comics figure section coming soon?

[shadow=green,left,300]There are a number of updates coming very soon to the site. Including, but not limited to: Mego, Super Powers, Movie toys, DC toybiz figs (batman related only), plus a number of new sections, incuding fan art, customs, fan fiction, cartoon databases, movie databases, dvd archives, video game archives and much more!
Stay tuned.[/shadow]

Although they are far from the greatest figs out there i believe they are still worth having in your collection. They heralded the birth of Movie-line figs and that alone is a great reason to have them just for history's sake!

[shadow=blue,left,300]I agree with Joker FC. Toy Biz was just starting out and was not up to par. Watch ebay or elsewhere and you will find Super Powers.[/shadow]

granted, this is no substitute for Super Powers, but the Toy Biz line has an appeal all it's own. I personally like the line. It has such a "comic book" look to it. Plus, this was the first time we got a Two-Face figure!

true enough but as a substitute for SP Batman and robin no. Oh agreed as a substitute they don't match up,the SP figs are all over them. However i look at each individual line on it's own merits. There are plenty of SP figs on Ebay, especially loose, all the time.I just had a quick look before out of curiosity and found stacks. You should check it out Default.

DC Super Heroes was the first Batman line i had as a child. Just recently i got the Two Face figure from eBay, which completed that line for me. It's a great series in it's own right, it'll always have a special place in my collection.

Sir, I "karma-ize" you. BTW Toy Biz deserves some credit for their second wave of DC Super Heroes. They all appeared to have new sculpts and action features that made sense.

Growing up with Super Powers, I found the DC Super heroes line from Toy Biz to be a poor substitute.
However, it did kickstart me into toy collecting (as opposed to toy playing) after I had given up toys years prior.
Just won a Joker van on evilbay. Now have to hunt down a batcave. I think the Marvel Superheroes Punisher van was a Joker van in new colours. I have a Riddler figure, not sure if I want a Two Face for my loose display (the large coin in his hand annoys me) or if I should go w/ the Batman Forever figure.

One of my favorite things about that line was the packaging. I thought the art work on the front of the cards was a great period representation of the characters. My favorite is the Two Face one. Very cool, IMO!

I don''t post often, but this is a fine oppurtunity to reminisce.... remember the Supes figure with the Kryptonite Ring and magnet in his chest? The Flash's wind up and later on skateboard type motorized thing? Robin even had the ol' Karate chop!!!!! Two Face's coin was half the size of his head but by god it worked....... And my Bob the Goon is permantly stuck in a "leg up" posisiton from all of Robin's buttkickin's over the years.... But my Batman utitlity belt still retacts....Remembe the first "Fat" Batman face and the more sculpted one from later on that was sposed to resemble Michael Keaton? I remember when I got my first Kenner Dark Knight Collection Bats.....I was like....What the frig? His knees don't bend?!?! How's he supposed to knee Joker in the face? Good times....... ![]() http://another batman site/actionfiguresanddolls/actionfigures/movies/toybiz/toybizmrfreeze.jpg[/img]

Awesome post! Thanks for taking the time out to put some pics in there! This series isn't one of the finest ever created, but it's got a certain flair to it. If it wasn't for this series, I probably wouldn't have gotten into Batman. I was four when Batman '89 premiered, and these figures were my favorite toys, still are.

Truly an unappreciated line. I'll admit, when I was younger I wasn't a big fan of the line..they reminded me of Super Powers knockoffs. Over time though, I've grown to appreciate the line..and have many in my collection. Plus like Shadowbat mentioned, this line gave us the first ever Two Face figure!

I know I have said this before but the Batcave and Joker van form this line are Gems and are really underappreciated. Toy Biz done good vehicles-JOker/Punisher Van and Captain Americas Turbo Coupe are all classics

This was my first line to, Let me remember what I had.
I had the Batman and Robin. Figures I wish today I had kept. Had the penguin. Had the joker cycle. Still have the caboose but I lost the cycle part somewhere in the mess that was my little sisters room and it was just never found again. I always really wanted the batcave.
The next big lines were TAS and Total Justice for me. DrGreenEvil

yeah Total Justice(still one of my all time faves)was my next big DC mixed line after this too.of course Bats and Supes TAS were in there but I was really excited(I was 16 when TJ hit)it was like 89 all over again for me

Yup the Super Powers and Super Heroes wre awesome and remain so to this day (even my Superman w/ two left feet). The Total Justice / JLA line also remains one of the greatest lines ever IMO... sad it didnt continue. Now the JL/JLU line has surpassed them all for me personally.

I never bothered re collecting the TB Supes,WW or Robin but Green Lantern and the rest were different enough to warrant a purchase.Im thinking of displaying them on the shelf with TBs early marvel attempts as a bridger between my Marvel and DC collections..... I really regret TB not doing a comic style Bats in this line
