Gang..I'm proud to inform you that a representative from LEGO will be HERE on LoG with you all VERY soon to hang around and get some feedback.
More on that shortly.
Thank you for that release Blocko.
I could not be more pleased. My children can skip college, right?

I'm so excited about this news. I liked the C3, but I hated the fact that you could not do a thing with the lego parts. They were too specific. I know that Lego would make the vehicles more easily customizable. I can't wait.

Oh, the vignettes we can make! Okay, so here's a bunch of mini-figs to get your imaginations going. These are MOC -"my own creations" done by fans-but aren't they cool? www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=113917www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=16901And these are the little guys and gals (and ninjas and aliens and...) that Bats and co. will be hanging around with, BTW these are actual Lego mini figs: www.legofigs.com/fameset_e.htm

Does anyone know or think if we will finally get to see the Tumbler and batman begins in mini "lego" form?
I have wanted this since I first heard C3 was going to do it. I was so disappointed they didn't and NOW. Maybe? Anyone know anything?

That Joker aerial assault set has me very interested. Will he come with a plane or a blimp/ baloon?

It's cool to know that Killer Croc will be part of the line... I am keeping my fingers crossed for a Nightwing figure as well. Gordon and Alfred as well, but it's great news to hear because I got my brother a Lego Movie Maker for his birthday and we have been trying to put together a Lego movie with the C3 line but the scale is all off, and doesn't look right mixed with other lego's, now we have something to really get excited about WoOoOoOoOo!

Blocko, you were the first person I thought of when I saw this at Toynewsi.com. Coincidentally, way to keep the bundt cakes alive. Two-face AND Killer Croc. That's a great starting line-up!

Also, as far as "Joker's Aerial Assault" goes; I know the Big J is a fan of lighter-than-air travel, (ie, zeppelins and hot-air balloons) but I for one would love to see him in a purple bi-plane.

Ralph! I'm so glad you're here! Budnt cake forever, man! Anyway, a zepplin isn't too far off. It's been years since Lego made a set using this: brickset.com/search.aspx?Set=5956-1There's also a hot air balloon. BTW, I have this set and it's great! brickset.com/search.aspx?Set=7415-1

Ummmm, I just noticed that I'm the MOD for this forum...now I really need those clean BBQ bat thongs, lol.
p.s. For anyone wondering about the whole "BBQ bat-thong" thing. A while back we were discussing presents and I said that my brother in law gave me BBQ thongs (tongs). This prompted FB and others to question North American BBQ attire and the joke now resurfaces every so often.
(mutters to self: "Congrats Blocko, you've just scared away the Lego rep..*sigh*)
And on the subject of Reps, I had a good laugh with a Lego rep the other day in a TRU. Now that official word of the Batman line has been released (and right before X-Mas) customers have started asking the floor clerks 'bout these sets. The rep and I looked at the floor guy (whose really a decent guy) and remarked that he'd better get ready for the stream of requests for this line. I remarked that the same thing happened when the Star Wars sets were announced. Be nice if Lego put out a teaser poster with the Batman lego figs or sets and April 2006. Personally I just want one to put under my pillow until the sets come out!

any pics of these sets yet??? Not at this point. I wouldn't expect to see anything new until Toy Fair '06 - that's usually when companies reveal their new product for the coming year.

Unofficial (read: leaked) pics of Lego sets usually show up on European Lego fan sites as soon as someone gets their hands on them. They don't last long on the web once their spotted by the Lego company, though.

Pics of other 2005 sets are up on Brickshelf, but nothing yet from the Bat Lego line. I can assure you, though, with LOG's track record for Bat news as soon as they become available Matt'll have 'em!

I was looking through the new Exo-Force Lego theme pictures on there and noticed that the crazy green hair that the mini-figure in set # 7708 (named "Uplink") is wearing could be reused for a "The Batman" Joker mini-figure. And since Lego is never one to use a mold once (well...usually) I bet the Joker mini-figure that we'll get will be in "The Batman" style!

Yeah, I saw those too. They look great and I can totally see that hair used as the Joker.

What do you think, you bat-fans, will it better if it was Batman Legos or Batman Begins Legos ? Personally, I think classic Batman would be better, but "wait and see"

The sets are not based on any of the movie properties. They are based on "classic" characters. And that's all I can say about that.
