Sir, will we ever see any Batman Begins sets of figures from lego? I'm not going on any official info on this...but I would imagine, like most licensors, they're going to test waters with "classic" renditions of characters first, before dipping into animated of film realms. They need to get some sales figures going before they can invest in more specific "fanboy" oriented situations.

I have a question for the LEGO experts on our board...does LEGO dip into the con exclusive bit? I don't follow LEGO much as a collector (of course now I do! lol) so I'm not too sure.
Thanks!

To my knowledge, LEGO has not released con exclusive sets in the past. I do not know if they plan to do so with any of the Batman line.

By the way..for the LEGO people hanging around...please don't venture into Batman con exclusives..it serves only to feed scalpers and make fans and collectors irate.

I would LOVE an exclusive from this line. As long as it's done in a way that would allow both fans in attendance and fans not able to make the trip a shot at the exclusive - doing something like Palisades has done in the past as an example - would be ok. Offering an exclusive at SDCC and one online thru Shop@home would work for everyone.

Although I've never heard of a con exclusive, Lego has done some some nice. exclusive minifigs, such as the Toy fair invitation figs. Last year it was a Star Wars fig, any chance this year's will be Batman?

Thanks for the heads up Jonart...um, can we call you JD for short? I believe you're referring to the Durmstrang Ship set (correct me if I'm I'm wrong, we don't have Target up in Canada......yet.) the regular version of which only comes with 2 minifigs. Adding the others you mentioned is a nice bonus. Hopefully we'll see similar moves with the Bat sets. Exclusives w/ extra villians and/or heroes.

feel free to just call me Jon, yes i was referring to the Durmstrang Ship i just couldn't remember its name for the life of me. It was a pretty mice deal since it was the same price and came with 4 bonus figures (i'm a mini-fig junkie)

So as not to "hijack" this thread we can discuss coolest, lamest and favorites over over in the "other Lego news" thread. I will say that minifigs had 7 points of articulation back when most figs only had 5 .
