Here is a series I am very close to completing and for me the big draw is the card art. This Palitoy carded Penguin is super tough to find ( I was even told that some collectors were upset with me for winning it which is kinda funny ;D) and features a cool full body shot of our stubby little friend the Penguin. This week I'll post a few of the other Palitoy cards so you'll be able to see some fabulous artwork. These were exclusive to the United Kingdom market and were not sold in the United States.

Andy, I have a couple more on payment plans and once those are through I'll be pretty close to finishing them. I know the location of another that I need but as of right now it is not for sale. Like everything else eventually it'll come up so I'm not too concerned and with the amount of product both The Mego Corp and other similar companies produced it will take me years to collect what I desire which is fine by me. I'm having a blast doing it.

I'm sure you guys know all about the chase especially with some of this vintage Batman stuff. Not only is it pricey but its next to impossible to find in higher grades.

Here's a Palitoy carded Batman as promised along with a carded Lincoln Frankenstein. Note the full body shot of the Batman which is really striking.

[shadow=red,left,300]Nice artwork! Really catches the eye. Reminds me alot of the Super Powers cards which also used full body shots. I sorta wish more lines would do this today instead of having a pic on the inside bottom of the bubble. [/shadow]

Yea, the 70's flashy colors are no doubt gone forever which is a shame. You can spot packagings from that era in a heartbeat. The last packaging artwork I really liked was from the Marvels Famous Covers gatefold boxes. The Famous Covers series even won the Lee's Toy Review " best packaging " award for that year. Collectors embraced the line upon its debut but unfortunately by the latter series demand started to ween. To bad too as the Punisher was next in line.

Andy, thats precisely what I am focusing on over the next couple of years or so. It's all about bringing in new blood to our hobby and after Megocon2004 I've learned that the numbers are staggering. Just look at our member count since just a few months ago and you'll see the steady growth.

The Palitoy carded Hulk is another all time favorite ( I know, I know, I say that about all of my items ;D) which features some very graphic artwork. The back of the card is even better as it depicts the transformation from Bruce Banner to the Hulk. I'll snap a pic of it asap for you guys and gals.
