I'd love to see Black mask back, one really great Batman villain, funny too some of the lines he said in Under the hood were hilarious, ventriloquist (Arnold Wesker) would be great aswell, two Batman Villians killed in one story arc, that's annoying.

Hugo Strange isnt dead, so he shouldnt be a choice in the poll.
you picked odd choices for the characters in the poll too. why Mark instead of Roland? Roland was a greater villain than Mark was. why list Magpie? she was in a total of 4 issues in all of comics. same thing with Burt Weston. and the second Film Freak is better anyway, and i think more can be done with him than was ever done with the Burt Weston version.
honestly i think that Black Mask needs to stay dead for now. he's a great character, but i dont think any other writer can write him as good as Ed Brubaker and none should try too. also it will be some stupid explanation that we'll get too. i mean come on, he was shot in the head and face from about 2 inches away. it's really not possible for him to come back.
the only character that has yet to return from the dead that really should is Ratcatcher. his death was pointless and they can easily just bring him back like it never happened, just like they did with Firefly.

I would love to see The Film Freak back from the dead, I always thought he was a great second or perhaps third tier villian that never really got any great respect. With today's writers I think if brought back he could be a good Bat-Villian....

I think they should keep the dead guys dead, but I voted Dr. Hugo Strange. He didnt have really any superpowers but he was a great evil mastermind.

Hugo Strange isnt dead. you should have the read the post 2 above yours. he's very much alive. he faked his death a very long time ago but returned a very long time ago. how can you want to see a character return from the dead that isnt dead? I would love to see The Film Freak back from the dead, I always thought he was a great second or perhaps third tier villian that never really got any great respect. i like Film Freak too but i cant see him ever being brought back. especially since the second Film Freak is the better character and fits more with Batman's villains. they wont have 2 Film Freaks running around.

he was in Salvation Run # 2. Never read Salvation run. then why ask me which issue of Salvation Run he was in? you must have also missed his 30 appearances in Catwoman and Batman: Gotham Knights too then if you thought he was still dead. Gotham Knights was a great book, i enjoyed the majority of the arcs from that series, and i recommend picking up alot of those issues. the Catwoman stories he was in were post-Brubaker, so they werent that great. but Strange was thought to have died like 20 years ago, he came back about 7 later and has been around and hasnt left or died or anything like that since. he's been in a ton of books the past few years. i'm surprised that you and blackmask still thought he was dead.

I can't actually determine the reason for killing off Black mask i mean the character was getting high scores from the fans and he was killed off with the idea i'd say anyway of never been brought back i mean a shot gun right to the face.

Roland was killed to enhance Nightwing. by having Nightwing involved and allowing Tarantula to shoot him, it makes him a different character than Batman, and adds to him overall. most deaths in comics are usually done stupidly or for effect, but Black Mask and Roland Desmond were killed for a purpose and to further two well established characters.

Ok, this is getting stupid. Doomsday and i made a little mistake. I'm sorry that I haven't read every DC comic that was ever written. But we have all read things that other people haven't, that is why this site exists, to share our knowledge with other fans.

I voted for Matt Hagen because he was Clayface in the Animted Series. His origin was completely different, but it was still Matt Hagen. I don't read Batman comics because I prefer Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, Justice League of America, and Titans, so all of my Batman stuff is animated series DVD's.
