This thread is not meant for speculation on who will be in the next batman movie. I want this to be a list of all the possible batman villains that could be put on screen whether they are likely or not. These are the two that are on my mind right now. What works about these movies is that they re-envision batman and his enemies. So please put your thoughts down and debate.
Catwoman - I have heard bad things about her and people not wanting her on, but to me it seems like a logical choice. Now that Batman has lost the love of his life introducing Catwoman as a romantic interest makes some sense.
Talia al Ghul - Ra's al Ghul's Daughter. Since Ra's al Ghul has already been used in the movie it makes sense that she might appear in the movie, but in the first movie he says his family was killed so this isn't likely but it might happen. (She isn't a villain but a love interest in batman)
The Penguin - I know it is said that he would be too hard to turn into a villain for this movie, but I disagree. We are used to seeing him as a deformed and psychotic, but in his traditional form he is just a mob boss. In the first two movies the mob has been taken down, so if he were to move in and take over part of the mob he could be easily incorporated. They wouldn't even have to call him The Penguin at first, it is just a nickname given to him because he is short and far, and loves to wear tuxedos. He would not be a major bad guy, but he could easily be included in the films. At some points in the Batman continuum he runs a nightclub that gangsters visit, and he is a source of information for batman.

The Riddler - I think he has a high possibility, his MO could easily be turned dark and sinister. I think that if he is in the movie they should model him like The Zodiac Killer. If you don't know who he is look him up and you will get this. He could be a murderer who enjoys outrunning the police and tricking them. When he hears about batman he decides that he wants to see who is better him or batman, and at the same time he could be trying to find out who batman as because he knows that batman will be looking for him. It would make a great psychological thriller and cat and mouse game.

He would not be a major bad guy, but he could easily be included in the films. At some points in the Batman continuum he runs a nightclub that gangsters visit, and he is a source of information for batman. I REALLY disagree with all three of those. Catwoman would make no sense, there's already a vigalante who the cops are on a manhunt for, it would make no sense. As for Batman's love interest, maybe Catwoman could be mentioned as her altar ego, but not really be the Catwoman. as for Tailia Al Ghul - WTF??! And finally the Penguin - who I see as Oswald Cobblepot, British arms dealer who goes under the codename "Penguin". Now for me: Riddler - I really wanna emphesize the smart persona for the Riddler more so than the psychotic persona. That's why Johnny Depp is perfect - because he has the ability to play the smart version of the Riddler (IMO) really well, while I assume actors like David Tennent could play the psychotic version. Now when the hero is the villian - who is the hero? Nashton could be trying to be a hero like Harvey Dent, but secretly be an unknown man who calls himself E. Nigma, and is nicknamed "Riddler" by the police because of the way he commits crimes. He could have a great section of the film. Mr. Freeze - Now I know what you're thinking: Fries is too fake to be Nolan's real Batwoman world! Well, the hell with that, Batsy grappled on to an airplane 1500 feet away from him from inside of a building already. We can make some exceptions. I can see Victor Fries being a young accomplished scientist who is one of the only people left who still believes that the Batman can save them. He's also freinds with Bruce Wayne. His wife gets murdered and he is trapped in a carbon something chamber (I forget the name of that cold chemical) as Batman is fighting the murderer, so Fries blames Batsy for his wife's death.

Catwoman isn't a hero nor a vigilante so I don't know what your opposition is. It would be interesting that he goes from loving a purely good woman (Rachel Dawes) to liking a bad character like Catwoman.

Talia would be easy to put in. Ra's lied to Bruce. He told Bruce only what he needed to know. That is simple.
I am rather indifferent to Catwoman. I wouldn't mind if she was in the next one, yet I don't particularly want her to be. Her interaction with Batman in BR is one of the few things from the old series that I feel would be difficult to improve on. And not only that, but I think Batman and Catwoman's interaction is rather flat. Batman likes her because she similar to him and she feels the same way, but the code that he goes by is different than hers. I just don't see where she could be taken in a new direction, unless you want to go Frank Miller on her, which most people do not.
The Penguin could be a mob boss, but anything else would not work. He is not intimidating and he is not a match for Batman in anyway except maybe in leading people. Probably not even them.
Riddler would provide a great mental challenge that was completely lacking in BB and only started in TDK. He gets my vote. I would not make him like the Zodiac killer though because that would make him a little too simple in my eyes.
Bane is smart and strong, plus he is very reflective of the times. He has established himself somewhat, though it would be nice for him to get to really flex his muscles. He could possibly be better than Riddler, though I still prefer Nygma because he is more relatable.
Deadshot is one of those anti-Batman villains that are fun, but will not be the main villain because he is not established enough.
Mad Hatter could work. He could be done in a very creepy way, as a man that obsessed really would be. Something to remember is that he does not have to have mind control technology. Only recent iteration have done this. Though I do not believe that his hat gimmick would be any better. I prefer him as a stalker type figure that has no particulare specialty but is extremely creepy and dangerous.
Mr. Freeze could work. I have suggested how I would write the character, about him being a hockey player, but I didn't get any response, so I figured people didn't care for that interpretation.
Poison Ivy could be incorporated in a similar fashion to the way Scarecrow was introduced. Just a bit of knowledge about what some rare flowers do and poof, she's a threat.
I'd love to see Killer Croc doing what Croc does best, throwing rocks!
Man-bat will not be seen in this film series and likely won't be seen unless someone radically different takes the helm after Nolan.
Hugo Strange would work well. No complaints with him.

Hi there, I think it would be great to have in an all female villain cast in the new Batman film. As Rachael Dawes Bruce's love interest is dead, someone else needs to take her place. Why not have a love triangle with different female villains? Catwoman for sure! I would love to see Harley Quinn too, back story is that she was working in Arkham and falls in love with the Joker, she's brain washed by him, she would be the jokers extension as we will never see Heath in that role again, she will carry on his legacy outside in Gotham while the Joker is locked up. the joker could still be in the 3rd film, as he's locked up in the extermley dangerous villain wing of Arkham it would be in total darkness, little light and full of shadows all we see of the Joker is Silhouettes. And also Talia Gul seeking revenge for her father. It could be called Batman Legacy as Harley-Quinn and Talia are part of a Legacy that has been left for them.

I would LOVE to see some females in this movie - and I mean STRONG females. Montoya - they need to get their butt on that - I was dissappointed to find the latina chick in that movie was NOT Montoya, and they should've gotten rid of Gordon's son and put Barbara there! As for Harley Quinn...sigh...alas I WISSHH she could be in a movie. But, I just don't seeing it happening without a specific Joker acting out part. I mean, as stated before. Nolan wants to portray things more "realistically" and "darker" (whatever THAT means lmaao! I mean how realistic can you get with a comic book character? ANYWAYS!) and Harley's interaction and courtship with the Joker while he's in Arkham Asylum TOTALLY plays to Nolan's angle here. I think simply pulling out a story without having much to do with the Joker than just fleeting memories just doesn't cut it for me. Considering this would be hte movie of her debut she NEEDS to be seen with the Joker. She is in fact CLINGY to him in these very beginnning stages. This is HIS CREATION and he wants people to SEE IT WITH HIM AROUND! To bask in his INFINITE GLORY THAT IS HE! I'm probably taking it way out of context - it is a movie after all but - a debut of Harley without a Joker just doesn't cut it for me. I'm pretty indifferent with Catwoman, she might be in it - who knows. But I DEFINATELY can see a Riddler and a Mad Hatter (and Pengers as a side character). I think they both really mesh well in Nolan's universe. I don't want Nygma to be on random murder sprees because, that simply isn't what he's like. I mean, the movies obviously don't COMPLETELY correspond to the comics, but I still don't want them to go willy nilly with making everyone "darker" just because they think it will sell tickets. He's a smart man, but he's also the guy that I just don't envision going on random killing sprees like the Joker. I want to keep him professional, con artist like, the guy that isn't a wimp and WILL kill you if need be, but WON'T play Russian roulette for shticks and giggles. I want the smart and cunning Nygma, a little wacky because he likes ot play mid games and such and must ALWAYS leave a riddle at the crime scene. I think there they might want to interject an abusive father of some sort...you know...it goes with Nolanverse. As for the Mad Hatter. I love him. He gets overshadowed so many times, and I think it would be cool to see him of something like - Arkham Asylum. Kinda stalker/pedophile guy. Creepy and all, I do liek hte idea he should keep the hat, he's cunning as well, and a sick twisted compulsive disorder with Alice in Wonderland. I think he should keep something of the mind controling techniques. Maybe, not with gadgets but - maybe he can be an extrememly eloquent speaker?? Veyr persuasive perhaps? I mean he is a scientist - he COULD have mind control thingies... Well that's my two cents on that whole sha-bang xD

Clayface, anyone? And instead of arguing which one, why not all of em? I'll throw my hat in for Ivy as well as Harley.

Yo,
I like the idea of the Riddler, as a cold and calculated killer, leaving clues behind, but they way the film is going for it's darkness and realistic feel we might have a sequel to Se7en!
Would still love to see Harley Quinn in the next one, the joker could still be in the 3rd film, just you wont see him, you'll hear his voice in the shadows from the dark corners in his cell.
Clayface would be good, but I don't think it would fit with the realistic feel of the films.
How about the ventriloquist and scarface?

No Harley Quinn, it just CAN NOT HAPPEN. A Harley Quinn debut needs to be followed by her man by her side. He needs to be seen with his creation or someone else will slap the patent sticker on her! LMAO! Not to mention she is clingy at this early stage in the relationship - it just - believe me - it will rip my heart to bits if I saw her in the movie - TO BITS. I got no problem with seeing Ivy though... And I really don't see Riddler being the cold blooded killer. I just see him being hte calculated robber of sorts that only kills if necessary.

[shadow=red,left,300]^ I just can not picture Harley Quinn appearing in the next movie, since she appears to come in much latter in Batman's career.
But that does not mean I am against the idea of Harley Quinn coming into the series. I am sure that Nolan has the smarts to work her in!
I agree with Dorian Mimes. He should only be the calculating villain that kills when he has to, or he could become a Joker rip-off![/shadow]

I would like to see:
- Black Mask (he could be easily done)
- Scarface (If this was done well, with Wesker being totally insane, it could work!)
- I liked the Clayface idea. Master of disguise, not made of mud.
- Deathstroke (I realize he's not a core Batman villian)
- Clock King
- Catman (with the brutal image portrayed in Villians United)
- Manbat: With a twist. He's not a half-bat creature, maybe just on some type of drug(s).
- Ragdoll
- Bane is my favorite idea.
- The Mad Monk
- Firefly (no jetpack, just arsen)
- And of course: Wrath!

I think the very core of Batman's rogues gallery consists of Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Two-Face, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, Ra's al Ghul, Bane, Scarecrow, Man-Bat, Mad Hatter, Clayface, Killer Croc, Firefly, and the Ventriloquist and Scarface. The only one who would be dificult to do in a live action movie would be Clayface. Once you go through these 16, you're left with lesser known villains such as Kite Man, Crazy Quilt, Cavalier, Mr. Polka-Dot, and Captain Stingeree. Catman and Deadshot are a bit more known than these, but being members of the Secret Six, I doubt DC would want moviegoers to see them fighting Batman. Then again, Bane just joined the Six. Maybe they could do a movie where Batman fights a purely evil vereion of the Secret Six. Scandal wouldn't even have to be in it.
