DC really needs Breyfogel on this one. why and which one? Norm only drew Anarky in 2 issues and Kevin only did the miniseries. i like Norm's artwork and Kevin's is decent, but others have drawn Anarky better. what they need is Alan Grant writing the issue.

thats right, i forgot about the second series. he also drew him in another couple of issues too i believe. there should have been a "like" before the 2. Alan Grant created the character and Norm was the first to draw him.

Yeah i think he did. I guess i like him. I didn't really know what to think of him in Night fall. It seems I'm neutral with this character.

I'm not sure I'd trust anybody but Alan Grant writing this, and as far as I know he won't be heading back to DC any time soon. Anarky was created as a vessel through which Grant could express his own politics. The new writer would have to be simpatico with the character's motivation. It's like somebody else writing Steve Ditko's Question; it never really worked.

Denny O'Neill did a pretty good job with The Question. and James Peaty didnt do too bad with Anarky when he was writing Green Arrow.

Okay, but this is what I mean; Denny O'Neil and Steve Ditko are poles apart, politically. O'Neil's Question was some warped, new-age hippy Question, nothing like the original. It may or may not have been a decent superhero comic in its own right, but as far as being faithful to Ditko's vision goes, it was a failure. No, that's wrong; it didn't even attempt to stay true to the original, it was more a betrayal. It's the equivalent of a lefty writer taking on the Punisher and suddenly having Frank believe in 'second chances' and awarding him a side career as a social worker...

^ you're right on that. i see what you mean. O'Neill's Question was entertaining, but yeah, it wasnt what it was supposed to be.

Oh well, I'll keep an open mind. And I'm not familiar with that previous version of Anarky you mention, but I'll seek it out
