[shadow=red,left,300]Perhaps I'm the only one, but I really miss the days of vehicles having actual box art instead of window packaging. Anybody else feel this way from time to time?[/shadow]

I actually like the window box packaging for today'a toys. Not that I have anything against the former styles, and I do have a sense of nostalgia, but I enjoy the style and display factor of the boxes. What I actually dislike are the "crimped sealed" style indestructable solid clear plastic shells! That and the apparent need for every toy to have at least 3 times it's own weight worth of twist ties to secure them!?

I'm kinda happy that companies like Corgi have retained a similar style of packaging to their vintage style.Although the way the old 66 Batmobile box opened up into a display base was very cool.I can appreciate the box art that you speak of Bull but in my new reformed style of collecting where a lot now gets opened it's kind of redundant for myself now.
[Did i actually answer your question?]

Well I usually just open it up. But I do appreciate good box art from time to time.

Well, call me old fashioned but I'm with Bullock on this one. I have many of the Mego Corps boxed vehicles and the artwork in my opinion is some of the best around. Photoboxed and actual pencilled drawings just do it for me. Great thread! I've attached a pic of one of my displays.

I prefer the artwork as opposed to the windows. Some of my favorite work is from Batman/Dc Super Heroes line. I love the style of the art on the boxes, and on the cards. I think it's great!
